Sharing this post could help us reach mothers in need and change their journey for the better.

We've been networking with other organisations, chatting to patients & planning with maternity staff. (And eating/ handing out cakes & biscuits)

We even had our wonderful colleagues/ peer support workers from The Parent & Baby Service join us yesterday.

Thank you to everyone that came to see us, patients, staff & everyone else.

Today is World Prematurity Day.

Here at The Lotus Service North Staffs we provide support for women who have had their babies prematurely and spent time in Neonatal settings. We treat trauma experienced during birth, afterwards, if baby is poorly & baby loss.

Today is , and Bliss wants more families to know they’re not alone💙💜. The journey through neonatal care can be emotionally challenging, and it’s important to acknowledge the impact this has on families.

🌍 Today is World Mental Health Day 🌍

The official theme set this year by the World Federation for Mental Health is:

“It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace“.

As we observe World Mental Health Day, it’s crucial to shine a light on one of the most pressing issues affecting modern workplaces: burnout. In our fast-paced world, more employees are experiencing chronic stress that leads to burnout.

Burnout doesn’t happen overnight. It’s gradual and can take hold before you’re truly aware of it. It doesn’t just affect individual wellbeing; it has far-reaching consequences for organisations too.

We’re calling for everyone to take shared responsibility for workplace mental health. From employers to employees, executives to managers, we must unite in educating ourselves and one another to recognise the signs of poor mental health and provide mutual support so that we can create healthier, more resilient workplaces where mental wellbeing is a priority for all.

By addressing workplace burnout on this World Mental Health Day, we can create a more productive, engaged, and fulfilled workforce. A mentally healthy workplace is a thriving workplace. Let’s work together to combat poor mental health and burnout and foster environments where everyone can flourish.

Today is the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2024 (9th - 15th October)

To mark the event, we have created a poster to provide information around BLAW and included some powerful quotes from people with lived experience. Although some people might find the information helpful, we recognise that losing a child comes with immense pain and you may not want to participate in BLAW. That is okay, too. Please be mindful when viewing our content that it may bring up difficult emotions. Take care and try to be gentle with yourselves.
