⚠️ Emergency Alert Test Sunday 7th September at 3:00PM📱

Advice for survivors of domestic abuse (and others with concealed phones):

UK Government will be testing the emergency alert system (EAS) for the second-ever nationwide test. The test causes a mobile phone or tablet to:

🔊 Make a loud siren-like sound that lasts about 10 seconds, even if it's set on silent.
📳 It may also cause a device to vibrate or read out the alert.
🗨️ A message will appear on your screen(s) making it clear the alert is only a test.

If you are affected by domestic abuse and have a concealed mobile phone from your abuser, you may not wish the sound of the alert to draw attention to your phone. How you opt out depends on your device. You can get full instructions on how to opt out by visiting: https://orlo.uk/62wQT

If domestic abuse is happening to you, it's important to tell someone and remember you're not alone. If you do not feel safe or believe there is an immediate threat, call 999. You can also visit our website for more information on how to get support: https://orlo.uk/nVTNL

We’ve had lots of patients asking about Mounjaro which has been approved by NHS England for weight management. The eligibility criteria has been set but is strict and we are awaiting further information on how the programme will be rolled out.

We are aware this has been announced on the news but we have no further information to offer at this point. The eligible patients will be contacted in due course once the arrangements are fully in place.

You do not need to contact the surgery at this time.

Thank you

Attention Ladies!

📣 Cervical Screening Is Changing – Here’s What You Need to Know 💙

From 1 July 2025, there are two key updates to the NHS Cervical Screening Programme:

1️⃣ Screening every 5 years (instead of 3) for those aged 25–49 who test HPV negative at their next appointment

2️⃣ Digital invites and reminders will now be sent via the NHS App for quicker, more convenient access

Cervical screening saves lives – these changes help ensure it’s even more effective and accessible.
