QUITE A LONG POST - BUT WELL WORTH THE READ…

F**CK CANCER 5k RUN, RAFFLE AND FUN DAY - SUNDAY 6th OF APRIL 12pm WESTPORT LAKE . THEN ON TO BURSLEM CRICKET CLUB THATS ON FESTIVAL PARK… for Aarons Lee’s family….

First of all I’d like to thank everyone in the community for getting together to support Aaron’s family…he’s overwhelmed with your support and donations received already…

We have changed the starting point of the 5k to Westport Lake, running two laps of it so it’s more accessible and easier for kids to run…Aaron won’t be able do the full 5k, he might try a lap of Westport Lake with his partner and boys but we can see on the day…but they will defo be there…Let’s just show him how many people in the community care, by loads of us running round Westport Lake showing our support 👊🏽

Following on from the run, we are heading to Burslem Cricket Club for a fun day for everyone - where there will be DJ, an ice cream van, burger van, bouncy castle, face painting, 5-a-side football pitch available for use, as well as Man United vs Man City are playing on the big screens to watch for the footie fans…As for the adults…alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available on tap behind the bar 👊🏽

50% of payments raised from the burger van and ice cream van will be going to Aaron and his family…

I would also like to give a massive shout out & thank you to Jono at Burslem Cricket Club letting us use the club free of charge for the day and putting on a bbq for us…

Also Marc Newtonowner of Pure Cafe and Supplements in Stafford who has supplied us a bouncy castle completely free of charge….
Would also like to thank Mitch and Nathan Denson at MC Ice cream for their van, and Adam Hulstone for his burger van…Abbie Pustkowski for help with admin.and Tomasz Putynkowski with everything he does…

Really appreciate it top lads turning out for a good cause.

🏃‍♂️ F**k Cancer 5k run for Aaron Lee’s family – A Fight Worth Running For 🏃‍♂️

Sunday at 12pm 6th April we’re meeting at dimensions to run 5K for Aaron Lee — a dad, a partner, a friend, and a fighter.

Aaron is battling stage 4 cancer,the doctors gave him weeks to months live but he’s still here, proving them wrong every single day. He’s chose to fight this his way, naturally, with every ounce of strength he has left. But against his wishes and gave in to his family’s wishes ,he’s having medical cancer treatment now…..

The route is kid friendly running around Westport Lake and crossing only one road…His three boys are running….His amazing girlfriend is running…Also Aaron wants to run it…which is unheard of in stage 4… let’s get him round together and show him our support!

Bring your kids, I’ll be taking mine, bring your nan, bring your grandad—if you can’t run, come on your bike, in your car, or just pop down to show support.

Aaron might look rough around the edges, but trust me, he’s one of the most loving, caring, and selfless people you’ll ever meet. An incredible dad, a devoted partner, and a man who never thought life would throw this at him—who does? No life insurance, no financial safety net—just grit, love, and a family that needs help.

👉 This 5k run we will be raising money to help support Aaron’s family and provide financial aid for their bills,rent and food as Aaron cannot work due to this battle he is facing. In recovery or suffering with mental health this fights for you ❤️❤️

I started running on my own to battle mental health struggles and addiction. Over time, it grew into a team, and that team kept getting bigger. Now, I want to take on a new challenge to show that anything is achievable if you put your mind to it.

On March 1st, I’m stepping into the ring at Fenton Manor, Stoke-on-Trent, to fight for a cause that has impacted so many lives—mental health and addiction awareness. This fight isn’t just for me; it’s for everyone out there struggling, for those who need to see that change is possible.

I’ll also be raising money for a great cause, helping those affected by addiction and mental health battles. Too many lives have been lost, but together, we can make a difference.

If you believe in second chances, in fighting back, and in proving that you can do anything you set your mind to, then stand with me. Let’s make a difference—together.

This Saturday, we’re taking things to new heights—literally. We are climbing mantor.. if you can’t run with us come walk with us.. going hike to that waterfall also… going be a great hike first of many……..

For those in recovery, battling mental health struggles, or just needing a mental refresh, the mountains have a way of clearing the fog. For some reason it works. The climb might challenge you, but the view from the top? That’s your reminder that you’re capable of anything..

Lionhearts Run to Recovery: Connecting the Dots

Today, I received an official ADHD diagnosis after my screening. And while there’s a sense of clarity, there’s also a deep frustration—because I can’t help but wonder why this wasn’t recognized sooner. How many of us are slipping through the cracks, misdiagnosed, or simply overlooked?

The truth is, for so many of us, the struggles we face—addiction, alcoholism, and even mental health battles—are often symptoms of something deeper, something unaddressed. ADHD is just one piece of the puzzle. It’s shockingly common for people with ADHD or other undiagnosed conditions to seek relief, an escape, in drugs or alcohol. It’s not a lack of willpower; it’s the weight of carrying something we didn’t even know we were battling.

Why weren’t the dots connected earlier? Why did it take years of chaos, hurt, and recovery to finally see the truth?

This isn’t just my story—it’s the story of countless people out there. Some of you reading this might not even realize the connection between your mental health and your struggles with addiction. But hear me when I say this: It’s not your fault. You are not broken. You’ve just been fighting battles in the dark, without the tools you needed to win.

Lionhearts is about shedding light on those battles. It’s about building a community where we can connect the dots together. Where we can heal, grow, and run—literally and figuratively—toward a better version of ourselves.

If you feel like something doesn’t add up, if you’ve been fighting and don’t know why you’re stuck, don’t give up. Ask the hard questions. Seek the help you deserve. You are not alone in this. We are here, running beside you, every step of the way.
