We have such a fantastic team here at Westcroft, everyone gets involved and it makes days like today so special 🪔 We spent our afternoon tasting Gulab Jamun and barfi from Ketan whilst listening to some music, doing some more dancing and doing Diwali themed wordsearches for those who wanted to do something a little more relaxed ❤️

We tried rangoli making today! 🪔 Rangoli are traditionally made with sand or coloured rice, but we had a go using pieces of coloured paper and stencils so that everyone could get involved, and we made some beautiful patterns! It is believed that they bring good luck into the home, so we had a go at making some ourselves today ❤️ Stay tuned for this afternoons activities ✨

We’ve had a fantastic start to our Diwali celebrations here at Westcroft with music, dancing, traditional sweets and homemade curry - what a beautiful morning with our amazing residents and staff! We also tried making our own rangolis, more photos and videos to follow ✨🪔

Today’s resident of the week celebrations were for our lovely lady, Margaret 🌸 Marg chose a hearty home style meal of bacon, mashed potatoes, bacon dripping and vegetables with a huge slice of red velevet cake and custard for pudding, alongside a hot cup of tea! 🍽️☕️ She thoroughly enjoyed the experience and said to us afterwards ‘what a lovely meal with my family’ ❤️ We hope that you enjoyed your special day surrounded by your loved ones 🥰

Here at Westcroft, we’re celebrating bonfire night with a bang! 💥 We invite all loved ones to join us on bonfire night between 4-6pm for an afternoon of fun, we have individual fireworks, sparklers, marshmallow toasting and so much more ❤️ We would love for you to join us in creating new memories with our amazing residents and all money raised on the day goes towards our residents fund which allows us to keep offering the best activities possible for those wonderful people 🎆 We can’t wait to see you there!
