💔 None of us want to find ourselves in this situation, and we certainly don't like to talk about it — but sadly, most of us will at some point need to deal with the death of a loved one.

Losing a loved one is deeply personal and incredibly hard. At Arlington Funeral Services, our role is to make the process as clear, respectful, and comfortable as possible — so you’re not left facing it alone.

Here's a very quick guide, but please do not hesitate to contact us for any guidance:

✅ If your loved one has passed at home or in a care home:
• Contact the treating doctor if death was expected
• If the doctor has seen your loved one within 14 days, they’ll confirm the death
• We can bring your loved one into our care if you wish

✅ In hospital:
• Doctors typically issue the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death
• Ask the ward team about collecting it — or we can guide you
• Many hospitals offer time for families to sit with their loved one

✅ If it was sudden:
• If your loved one wasn’t under a doctor’s care, the Coroner is usually informed
• We’ll liaise with the Coroner and guide you through what happens next

✅ If the death was abroad:
• We can help with repatriation and make all the arrangements to bring your loved one home
