We are a team of volunteers that provide event medical cover, frontline ambulance and hospital support to the NHS as well as engaging with our local community to teach lifesaving skills.

Congratulations to our Cheadle unit, celebrating over 100 years of St John in the area, and for raising over £600 for the network! Congratulations all, especially Cheadle cadets, and thank you to everyone that helped plan and deliver this event, including everyone who came along to support!

Our Stoke cadets have now completed their final practical session for their ambulance awareness course. Thank you to all of our ambulance crew, technicians and student paramedics for helping teach.

Members of our network from our Keele University unit have been travelling over to Wolverhampton to support our colleagues at the Molineux stadium filling a range of roles from ambulance crews to medical rooms and foot teams

Last night our Stoke cadets completed the first of 2 of their practical sessions for their ambulance awareness course being lead by our training lead and ambulance crew Aakash, supported by Dan, Phil, Kenzie and Sam. This week they have learnt about where blue lights are fitted on the ambulance and why, when we can use our lights and sirens, how we assess and treat patients with our zoll and primary bag, falls and using the magar elk and Venice chair and finally how to use a traction splint and when.

Last week our Stoke adults and cadets came together for a night of celebrating achievements and reflecting on the said work our volunteers have done over the year.

We also welcomed our County Vice President Simon Davies, who gave a talk to our Cadet members and presented some awards

Today on Armistice Day we honour and commemorate all the brave men and women who served and fought for our freedom.

We remember the 45,000 St John Ambulance volunteers who provided medical aid and the 1,077 of those who made the ultimate sacrifice during the First World War.

Our adult and cadet volunteers in North Staffordshire remembered those by attending our local remembrance events and laying Wreaths in Stoke on Trent, Fenton, Cheadle and Leek
