Latest news: Combined Healthcare allocates final round of grant money as part of NHS-wide community mental health transformation programme📣

Over the last three years, North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust has committed to working with the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire in new and collaborative ways through the community mental health transformation programme.

Across multiple grant rounds, facilitated by the Community Foundation for Staffordshire, the trust has awarded over £500,000 in funding to VCSE organisations. The trust has supported and worked alongside groups who are dedicated to creatively meeting the needs of local people.

There was amazing energy in the room yesterday as our experts by experience came together with colleagues from Combined Healthcare, Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, Staffordshire County Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

Together, we’re co-developing a new clinical model designed to better support children, young people and families across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent who are facing multiple complexities in their lives.

Collaboration like this shows the real commitment across our system to create meaningful, positive change. ✨

Our public Trust Board meeting took place last week, and the Board watched and discussed a film about Diverse Minds – a support group run by the Trust and based in Leek.

Diverse Minds was set up to provide mental health support for people experiencing mental health challenges and neurodiversity.
The aim of the group is part educational and part social - with the overall goal of reducing stress and anxiety in people that have neurodiverse symptoms.

Exciting to see Port Vale FC Foundation Every Girl Does Count sessions up and running for 2026!

Led by female staff and volunteers from Port Vale Foundation, the programme is designed to be youth-led, empowering girls and young women aged 12-19 to have a real voice in shaping the activities and focus of each session.

Each session offers a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, pool, table tennis, gaming, board games, and fun workshops.

Latest news: Triangle of Care accreditation awarded to Combined Healthcare

We are delighted to announce that the trust-wide commitment to supporting carers has been formally recognised with a Triangle of Care Star 2 Award from Carers Trust, covering community services. The trust was awarded Star 1 in 2023, relating to inpatient and crisis teams.
