We’re proud to be a part of a partnership that was awarded £11.45m to expand the Destination: Home service in Stoke-on-Trent! 🌟 🤝

Being a part of this partnership means we can strengthen the support we already provide and work even more closely with, Concrete - making homelessness history (part Honeycomb Group), Adullam, and North Staffs Mind, to create a more joined-up pathway for people who need help. Together, we’ll be able to reach more adults across Stoke-on-Trent.

For Brighter Futures, this partnership is about combining our experience with the specialist skills of other organisations to deliver a stronger, more connected service. By working together, we can support more people from crisis through stability, helping them secure a safe home and build a more independent future.

Your feedback makes a difference, and we're listening!

After our recent Focus Group for the 'Communication Policy', we've taken your suggestions on board to make improvements that are clearer, more accessible, and better support you.

💬 You Said:
- There was too much blue and yellow on the graphic.
- It was confusing why a representative might be refused due to safeguarding concerns.
- You asked if a family member or friend can be a representative.

✅️ We did:
- We updated our design and reduced the amount of blue and yellow and included more of our other brand colours.
- We added a clear example to explain this, such as when a representative behaves aggressively or make staff or customers feel unsafe.

🌍️ Neurodiversity Celebration Week 🌍️

Neurodiversity Celebration Week, founded by Siena Castellon, is a global initiative that challenges stereotypes about neurological differences and highlights the many strengths, skills, and talents of neurodivergent people.

At Brighter Futures, we believe every individual deserves to be understood, valued, and supported to thrive. We acknowledge this week to promote inclusion, raise understanding, and celebrate the unique strengths of each individual.

We are proud to support many of our Learning Disability customers, through our services, we help them build confidence and assist them in independent living, whether it is through paying bills, accessing education or feeling more connected within their communities.

Celebrating neurodiversity is an important step in recognising the value that different minds bring to our community.

Your voice matters...and we act on it!

Following our recent Anti-Social Behaviour Policy (Easy Read) focus group, we've made real changes based on your feedback to improve clarity, accessibility, and support.

💬 You Said:
- You would like more information on noise pollution.
- You were unsure what to do if you were experiencing anti-social behaviour.
- You would like a poster with all the key information for anti-social behaviour.

✅️ We did:
- Created a short noise pollution story explaining noise pollution in an easy to understand way.
- We made a short guide in the policy explaining what you need to do and how and where to log the incident.
- We created a poster with condensed information about anti-social behaviour.

🌼 International Women’s Day 🌼

Today we’re celebrating the brilliant women who make up our Brighter Futures community... our customers, our colleagues, and the partners we work alongside every day. Each of you plays a part in creating safer, stronger, and more supportive places for women across the city.

We’re proud to offer our female‑only housing pathway and Orchid Women’s Services, giving women space to feel safe, listened to, and supported in moving forward.

💛 Tomorrow we’ll be hosting a brunch at Orchid’s Drop In to bring people together and celebrate the women who inspire us.

It's been a creative and busy time over at Orchid House! 🌺

The ladies have been enjoying lots of arts and crafts, spending time designing handmade cards. The kitchen has been just as busy, with lots of baking resulting in lots of cupcakes which look amazing! 🎨 🧁

At Brighter Futures helping people to lead fulfilled lives is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that with tailored support our customers can be empowered to recognise and develop their strengths, confidence and self-esteem, manage their lives positively and build aspirations.

Life circumstances such as abuse, bereavement and mental illness can affect us all. A roof over your head is where we start. We don’t stop there, each year our team of over 200 staff and volunteers support people with complex needs through personalised accommodation, employment, training and mental health support. Our one stop shop operates 365 days a year.
