What is Reiki Healing?
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that aims to stimulate the body into self healing by balancing energy within the body, removing negative energy and promoting relaxation for the body and mind.

What will happen during a session?
The practitioner will ask you to lie comfortably on the massage table with a blanket, surrounded in a lovely calm atmosphere with beautiful pipe music playing. Your practitioner will ask you to close your eyes and relax.
The practitioner places their hands lightly on or over specific areas of the head, limbs, and torso using different hand shapes, for between 2 and 5 minutes. The hands can be placed over 20 different areas of the body.
While the practitioner holds their hands lightly on or over the body, the transfer of energy takes place. During this time, the practitioner’s hands may be warm and tingling. Each hand position is held until the practitioner senses that the energy has stopped flowing.
When the practitioner feels that the heat, or energy, in their hands has abated, they will remove their hands and may place them over a different area of the body.
During the treatment you may feel the practitioner’s hands get hot or cold, you may also see colours in your mind’s eye. This is nothing to worry about, this is simply reiki doing its work. Some people may not feel anything, and that is okay as everyone is different and everyone experiences different things.
Is reiki safe for everyone?
Yes, reiki is not harmful at all. Reiki provides healing with good intentions and is safe for everyone, you will leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.
