Swimming Teacher at Paddles Swim School

At Paddles, we believe swimming is for everyone. We’re excited to announce a new opportunity to join our team as a Swimming Teacher at our swim school.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about inclusive teaching and making a real difference in the lives of children and young adults with disabilities. You’ll deliver tailored lessons in a supportive environment where progress is celebrated at every level.

🐠 About the Role:
• You will be working every Saturday (term time) at MyActive Cheadle between 14:00-16:00
• Plan and deliver engaging, adaptive swim lessons
• Support swimmers with a range of physical, sensory, and learning disabilities
• Work closely with families and carers to build trust and consistency
• Celebrate individual achievements, big and small
• Be part of a compassionate and dedicated team

⭐ What We’re Looking For:
• Qualified level 2 swim teacher (or working towards qualification)
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
• A genuine passion for inclusion and accessibility
• Experience with disabilities (desirable but not essential)

At Paddles, this isn’t just a teaching role — it’s an opportunity to empower swimmers, build confidence, and create life-changing moments in the water every lesson.

🐠VALENTINES DAY AT PADDLES!💌

At Paddles, we have been spreading the love today by celebrating with a ‘Be Kind Day!’💜

Both of our sessions included fun team-building activities that brought our swimmers closer together, built new friendships, and reminded us that being kind is just as important as learning new skills in the pool🙌

On Saturday, Paddles welcomed Lynne, from Leek Building Society, to our beginners session!

Leek Building Society very kindly gifted Paddles a donation, following their Christmas Raffle at their Cheadle branch, to help the running of our swim school.

🐠ABOUT OUR 25M+ LANE SESSION🐠

If you’re looking to build confidence, fitness, and independence in the water, Paddles offers a lane swimming session designed specifically for swimmers with disabilities!

This session runs between 15:00-16:00 each Saturday (term time only) and focused on technique, endurance, and individual progression in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Our qualified teachers tailor each session to meet the needs and goals of every swimmer, helping them achieve their full potential one length at a time.

🐠ABOUT OUR BEGINNERS SESSION🐠

Our beginners swimming session at Paddles is designed to build confidence in a safe and supportive environment for impaired swimmers aged 4+.

We kindly ask each swimmer is accompanied in the water by a responsible adult, alongside our qualified teachers, to ensure guidance, reassurance, and effective learning from the very first lesson.

The session runs between 14:00-15:00 each Saturday (term time only) and focuses on positive early experiences in the water by involving pool toys to introduce play-based learning.
