Dr Shanika Attale and Dr Oliver Large are attending this course today, so there are no routine appointments available. (Urgent advice remains available as usual).

We’ve just heard that over 1,700 GPs are registered to attend this Royal College of General Practitioners course which is incredibly encouraging: it really reflects a wider shift we’re seeing: both GPs and patients becoming increasingly motivated by preventative, long-term health - not just reactive care.

Yes - many people initially join us for ease of access (6 days a week) when something comes up. And that matters: being able to see your own GP quickly, and have something like a cough properly assessed, is an important part of what we do.

But increasingly, the heart of our work with our 222 members is helping to steer them towards a life that is:

- as long as possible
- as healthy as possible
- as enjoyable as possible

With that goal in mind, we’re looking forward to bringing learning from today’s course back into the clinic.
