Some wonderful research shared by the Association of Reflexologists today, with regard to Reflexology helping to relieve pain in women suffering with Neuropathy in the feet.

I have seen a few clients with neuropathy now, and all have experienced a reduction in their symptoms and improvement in their mobility due to having regular reflexology sessions.

During reflexology, tenderness in specific areas of the feet is a common and expected response.

Each area of the foot corresponds to particular organs, systems, and structural regions of the body through reflex pathways. When an area of the body is under stress or experiencing imbalance, the related reflex point on the foot may feel more sensitive to pressure. For example, tension or discomfort in the back is often reflected as tenderness along the spinal reflex, which runs along the inner edge of the foot.

As the reflexologist works these areas, the nervous system is encouraged to relax, circulation is supported, and the corresponding body regions may begin to release tension, often resulting in a sense of ease, balance, and improved comfort throughout the body.
