Happiness, peace love and calm already has a place within you. Yoga is a journey to finding that balance, both on and off the mat. A YOGA - practice stretches and strengthens our bodies; it teaches us to mindfully move and connect with our breath, which leads us to be mindful and present in our daily tasks. It nourish our souls and It teaches us the freedom to be still and connects our mind body and soul. The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit root "yuj", which means "to unite " the spirit and physical body together. Yoga has evolved over thousands of years to embrace a wide range of styles and disciplines. Hatha Yoga

The word Hatha means wilful and forceful

It is system of physical exercises and breathing control used in yoga
Traditional Hatha yoga is a holistic path that includes disciplines, physical postures (asana), purification procedures, breathing (pranayama), and meditation. Hatha practiced in the West consists of mostly physical postures and is also recognized as a gentle introductory yoga for people new to the practice.

Hi everybody. Here is the next available date for mine and Andrea’s A-Yoga Wellbeing Day retreat at Howard Court. We have thoroughly enjoyed delivering our retreat days this year; we’re looking forward to welcoming lots of you back in the New Year and also to meeting those of you who are new to our Wellbeing Days.

Many of you attend our events regularly which is absolutely wonderful. It tells us that our retreat days provide you with a sense of being nurtured and supported in a way that makes you want to come back. Thank you so much for your ongoing support.

If you would like to reserve a place at our January event, please message me on 07717 826137 to reserve your place. (We won’t be taking payment for this event until the first week in January).

Also, in the lead up to Christmas, if you are thinking about gifts for family members or a friend, we have day retreat gift vouchers available which make a very special wellbeing gift. The last day for posting them out, to arrive in time for Christmas is Wednesday 20th December.🎄

BRIARDENE WOODLAND DAY RETREAT 🌲🌿🌱🪵🌳

Laura lLiving With Hope and I would like to thank everybody who has attended our Woodland Day Retreat today. We had the opportunity to immerse and connect with Mother Earth in the beautiful surroundings of Briardene.

The practice of tuning into each of the five senses is a highly effective way of connecting with our natural environment. The woodland canopy provided a sense of comfort, peace and support, helping to achieve stillness.

We’ve enjoyed a range of activities and adventures with a nutritious food offering, ending the day with a calming cleansing tea meditation ceremony.

We’ll be sharing details next week of our August Woodland Day Retreat event.

There is one large room still available if you would like to join me for a wonderful week of wellness.

The dramatic landscape, picturesque towns, the wonderful heartwarming people of Crete, the stunning beaches, the wholesome food and stunning scenery make it a very special location to retreat to.

Our home for the retreat will be a beautiful family run beachside taverna located in the rural bay of Kissamos.

The open yoga deck overlooks Mavros Molos beach and has the most stunning views.

The morning Hatha session, a balanced and holistic flow sequence will be introduced each morning to energise you for the day.

Evening sunset sessions shall unwind with a more restorative and relaxing practices that focus on healing and letting go.

A YOGA – CLASS Is the perfect beginner’s class for new students who want to learn the fundamental poses and aspects of Hatha yoga, as well as seasoned students, who are looking for a more gentle practice. These classes will allow you to build the knowledge you need to start on your yoga journey, you will learn the basic terminology, adaptions you may require, strength, mindfulness, inner peace, relaxation and flexibility over time. There will be extra attention to detail and hands ¬on assisting that will help you find ease, confidence and comfort in your practice. These Hatha yoga classes will set you up for a spiritual and rewarding yoga practice and are open to men and woman of all ages and levels of fitness.
