Beannachtaí na Féile Bríde oraibh 🌱🕯✨️

It was February 2020 when I decided to bite the bullet and go to the Imbolc celebration at Tudor House in Stafford.

I'd never been before and I didn't know anyone. Walking in was like stepping back in time - the building is gorgeous. Not a straight wall or floor in sight! Maggie, who later became my tutor and mentor, read Irish stories of Queen Maeve and Brigid and I knew I was in the right place.

It was here that I enquired about studying Aromatherapy. I had been thinking about it for years and finally, I was ready to put my money where my mouth was.

Alas, we all know what happened in 2020 so there was obviously a bit of a (2 year) delay in getting started 😂

But thinking back to that Imbolc night, it's mad to think how it shaped the years to come 🕯

This year I avoided making any intentions until now - I am soft launching spring with the coming of Imbolc. While remembering not to rush in.

Brigid brings the fire of creativity and inspiration. I am keeping her fiery energy close as I move through 2026 with some big goals in place.

Tonight's full snow moon brings me back to the energy of our workshop on the new moon and I'd love to know how you're getting on with your intentions and essential oils blends!

We are finally approaching the end of January and it's been a heavy month.

Imbolc or Imbolg is an ancient celtic fire festival celebrating the goddess Brigid on 1st February. The first Sabbat of the year, it signals the first stirrings of spring.

Think crocuses, snowdrops and even daffodils beginning their ascent towards the sun.

But thats just it - beginning. Slowly. With care. Not driving forward. Not just yet.

The February full moon which lands on Imbolc itself, is known as the Snow Moon by Native American tribes - a clear reminder that we are atill very much experiencing the throws of winter.

Motivation is hard to come by.
The cold puts additional stress on our bodies.
The news is horrific.

So for now, I encourage you to remain wintering where you can. Keep the slower pace. Honour your self care. Stay warm. Nap. Walk. Read. Book yourself massage.

"For every mile is two in winter".

And we cannot change this world for the better if we are eternally burnt out by life's daily expectations.

After years of debate and dithering, I have FINALLY bitten the bullet and joined forces with on their 270km annual charity ride from London to in August 🤘🏼🚲

Here's a bit about what they do and the charities we'll be supporting, in their own words:

"Heavy Metal Truants were founded in 2013 by Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood and Metal Hammer editor Alexander Milas. The organisation united metalheads, artists, and industry types under the common banner of raising money for charities that support children and young people.

The idea’s caught on, and we’re proud to say that thanks to the many, many people who’ve joined us over the years and enormous support from artists and the music industry we have now raised over £1.5 million for Teenage Cancer Trust, Nordoff & Robbins, Childline, and more recently Save The Children".

That's some pretty good going isn't it 👌🏼🤘🏼👏🏼

If anyone would like to help me on my way to my fundraising target of £1,200, I would be eternally grateful. The link to donate is in my bio. Share far and wide and if you know any businesses that would like to get involved, let me know!

Ps. All ride & festival costs are covered by me, so all money donated goes direct to the above charities 🤘🏼

Jumping on this #2016 nostalgia trend because I realised it was the year we upturned everything and went travelling. And it was so fun to have a proper reminisce and look through the photos 📸

It was during this time I seriously started thinking about what I actually wanted to do with my life and how to go about it.

It was the most amazing 18 months with so many incredible experiences, as well as some of the most trying 😅😆

We had Bali belly more times than I care to remember - an overnight bus journey with a dodgy tum is not the one 🤢

Living in a backpackers hostel for 3 months while working full time in New Zealand honestly made me think if I could do that I could do anything 😆

I need a lot of alone time to recharge my batteries so this was actually one of the most challenging aspects for me. The constant peopling of hostel life was exhausting 🫠

And living in a city again did not agree with me at all. (We lived in Liverpool before we left the Uk).

And that is how we ended up in Stone!

Perfect for camper van adventures to the Peak District, just enough town and close to the countryside.

And little did I know what a little community it would become 🥰

Here's to more adventure in 2026 ✨️

Stay tuned 👀

And finally here's some pics of the aromatherapy workshop myself & held this week 🙏🏼✨️

It was my first ever workshop, and all the prep and excited nerves of the week before were well and truly worth it.

That was in no small part down to the gorgeous group of women who came along and shared their Sunday morning with us ✨️

♑️ We set an intention to the new moon in Capricorn to set us up for the new year.

👃🏼We tried and tested some essential oils, and blended a handy roller ball to pop on our pulse points any time we need a little boost, or indeed a little moment of calm.

🌙 Remember to try and catch the waxing crescent moon in between the clouds this week, and I hope your intention infused oils bring you all the peace and clarity you asked for in 2026.

I managed to nab myself a quick walk in the spooky mist before work this morning 😍

What little glimmers did you manage to conjure for yourself today? ✨️

Cold and flu season is very much in full flow 🤧

Remember, if you're feeling under the weather, its best to reschedule your treatment. If you're in the thick of it with your symptoms, a massage could actually make you feel worse.

It's best to reschedule for another week or so if possible. We can then choose some oils to help build you back up again 💪🏼

Here's my go-to survival kit:

1. My Onion & Garlic tea - it's controversial 😂 and a bit whiffy 😂 but it really works to clear those sinuses:

🧄 1 clove of Garlic, a wedge of onion, lemon, loads of honey, cinnamonn sticks, a bit of turmeric and a wedge of ginger 🫚

2. I pop any of these oils on my neck, chest, back of the neck, feet - remember to use sparingly and dilute with a carrier oil to avoid irritation. Pure olive oil from the kitchen will do in a pinch 🫒

3. My lips and tip of the nose get so dry from constantly blowing my nose so a good, natural lipbalm is essential. (You can grab our 3 ingredient beeswax blend from )

4. The one we all forget. There ain't no prizes for turning up. If you can rest, do. Your body needs to concentrate on getting better. Sometimes carrying on just elongates the pain 🤧 Rest up.

Stay well and I'd be so curious to hear if you have any weird & wonderful folk cure alls. Let me know in the comments ⬇️
