We often pay a lot of attention to the neck and the lower back, but what about your mid-and upper back?
In Pilates, we start to bring awareness to this part of the spine: the space across your ribcage, the control of your shoulder blades, the strength and mobility in your upper back. And when you begin to feel it working, really working, everything changes.
Your neck feels freer. Your shoulders soften. Your lower back feels more supported. And movement justโฆ feels better.
Once you connect to the whole length of your back, you start to feel a new layer of yourself โ stronger, more open, more aware. You find yourself standing taller, more upright, with less tension around your neck and shoulders, and a sense of ease that stays with you long after you leave the studio. ๐
