As the light descends on Imbolc day, and we hand over to the illumination of Mama Luna, beaming out love and blessings as we stand at the mid point of both the journey between Winter Solstice & Spring Equinox, and half way through the last lunar cycle before the year of the snake ends and horse year begins....

Are you feeling all the feels?

We're gathering a circle in HeartSpace tonight to take sanctuary and honour this moment, as spring whispers a hushed hello, and the full moon turns the big light on good and proper.

As always, when we gather, we hold space for all those in need of some care & connection...so please shout out if you'd like to some love and holding tonight and we'll shine the love your way....

In love, we pause and prepare to step forwards....with tea and apple cake for sweet nourishment and company!

Hold steady folks....###

So apparently, today is thought to be the most miserable day of the year - 'Blue Monday' .....

I suspect it's just another chance for advertising folk to sell us holidays!

But seriously, it is mid winter and we are in the darkness - seasonally and it's the beginning of a new lunar cycle. So, we are meant to be wintering - to feel inward, slow and quiet.

If we live with an awareness of the cycles of nature, we get that there is a time for everything, and there's no need to run away from anything - it all rolls along in the fullness of time...

If we can just be where we are and act accordingly, all is well.

Today, I have had a lovely slow start, had a stretch on my mat, wrapped myself in my heated blanket to read a little with a brew, and now having a salts footsoak as I do a bit of computer work. Still in pjs and plan to stay in them till I have to leave the house for a bit later, but will jump back into them as soon as I return!

This isn't a miserable day. This is a day to practice nourishing ourselves with exquisite self care, luxuriate in the slowness, drift, dream and rest.

Go gently with yourselves dear hearts. There is nothing wrong. You don't need to do more. You're not behind and it's ok to rest.

Remember how incredibly precious life is, and tend to yourself sweetly, with great care and compassion.

This too shall pass...xx

The snow is thawing now, but it's been magical down at HeartSpace this last few days!

I've got into a lovely habit of warming it up ready for a session and then staying down there in the cosy quiet, with my book, a brew, and heated blanket on!

Through the winter it makes sense to heat it up for the day - and so I've decided to rearrange sessions that way to make the most of the warmth!

This week, I'll be down there on Saturday so if anyone feels called for some HeartSpace time, do get in touch.

For the Women's Circles this year, we'll be meeting each month around the New / Waxing Moon for the Wednesday morning circle, and Full Moon / waning moon for the evening Sunday Sanctuary.

Next dates: Wednesday 21st January and Sunday 1st February.
Plus the Circle, Swim & Sauna Sanctuaries at Whitmore Lakes begin again on 22nd February.

Hope to connect with you in time and space soon,

Warmest of love,

Su xx

Today, 6th January, is known as 'Women’s Christmas’ - Nollaig na mBan - an Irish tradition that honours the women - a day to rest and restore after the busyness of all the Christmas doing and holding.

It’s an age-old Irish celebration of women’s hard work and a reminder that women sacrifice so much that is often taken for granted. It falls on the last day of Christmastide, on the Feast of the Epiphany. The Greek roots of epiphany mean ‘to appear’, ‘to manifest’, and Nollaig na mBan is about women manifesting a version of Christmas just for themselves.

What version of your own personal Christmas would you like to gift yourself today or in the coming days?

I have two services to do today, so no chance to rest all day, but I am going to take myself for a wintery walk now and tonight, look forward to a long bath, a read in bed and an early night....

Oh, and if you're taking your tree down today, may I pass on a tradition that was gifted to me by my dear friend Liz, to pop an envelope with some dosh in the Xmas Decs box - a lovely surprise for next December when you get the decorations out again....I put £40 in the envelope last year, gonna double it this year!!😀

Much love and blessings, enjoy your day,

Su xx

As this new year begins, and we sit in the 'inbetween' of reflecting on what has been and gone, and what is before us, it stirs in me a kind of grief or sentimentality around endings and beginnings. The shadowlands of liminality have always been a place of comfort for me - a space where thoughts can dwell and linger, the pressure of needing to know is eased and the kernels of hope and can begin to sprout as dreams take shape...

As Nikita writes, 'Be more present for the universes inside you'. Yes, absolutely yes. And connection to this is only met in the dark, in the stillness, in the quiet...

As ever, as the year turns, I recommit to a daily practice of holding steady space for myself, in often small but always necessary ways - opportunities to stay close to myself, to listen to what is speaking within, and to connect to what is real.

I went down to HeartSpace this morning to put the heating on, just as dawn was breaking, and was stopped in my tracks by the majestic full moon shining her light, and the sun ascending through the trees....

I took some cold breaths with her and sat in the cold, and the quiet, giving thanks and sending love....

Its the simple pleasures eh.

Full moon blessings beaming out....

'May peace know you by name'...

In love 💖

Happy New Year dear hearts....

And so, another trip around the sun begins...

I'm not a big believer in 'New Year, New You' - we are continually evolving day by day, and our life is not hardwired to a date change. We are in the midst of winter and face the hardest month of the season ahead of us...a time to pause, dig deep, face the darkness and let the path unfold...

Not much is yet known, the light is low...but I'm offering a warm and gentle hand at your back, and as always, a leaning into love and a reminder that being here, with an open heart, is enough....

In love, always...

Some words from the wonderful Donna Ashworth on this last day of the year…❤️✨❤️

On the stroke of midnight tonight, you can resolve to be better, if you like…
to be fitter,
to eat cleaner,
to work harder.

On the stroke of midnight tonight,
you can resolve to become a whole new you,
if you so choose.

Or, you can take a moment to acknowledge what you already are.
Because it’s a lot.
You are a lot.

And you deserve to be truly seen.

On the stroke of midnight tonight, perhaps you could congratulate yourself, for coping.
For breaking, again,
for rebuilding, again.

For catching the stones life has thrown at you,
and using them to build your castle that little bit more beautifully.

And if you have used those stones to block yourself in for the ‘heal’, perhaps you can realign them this year. Make a grander gate, not a higher wall.

You have endured, my friend.
Through times you thought unendurable. You did.

And I don’t see the need to resolve to become a whole new you,
when you are already so very much indeed.

Happy new year.

You made it.

Now let us face another 365 day-turn, arms wide…
accepting, embracing and ‘seeing’ one other,
for all we truly are…

breaks and all.

We are about to begin what is probably one of the busiest weeks of the year, with end of year get togethers, Christmas shopping, end of term events…

And, it’s deep winter….our minds & bodies are programmed for slowness, and are craving rest.

Love these reminders that there are possibilities to find rest in the tiniest of places.

Go gently where you can….

With love, Susanna 😘 xx
