In a week that saw heavy snow we kept ourselves busy with lots of indoor pursuits. ⛄️ We made an indoor mini snowman, bird feeders for the garden and watched the snow get deeper and deeper. 🐦 We continued with our exercise, crosswords and games as usual but were both disappointed and relieved that the trishaws 🚲 🚲 and Knit and Natter 🧶 group had to cancel as we didn’t fancy our chances out in the snow! ❄️ ❄️

The residents have made Hogmany decorations in preparation for this evening, did the shopping this morning and even had time for quizzes and games. ✨✨
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has volunteered, donated or helped in any way at the home this past year. We are truly grateful 🙏🏻 🤩

On Christmas Day, Santa took a little time out of his incredibly busy schedule to pay us a special visit. His presence brought so much joy — not only to our residents, but also to the children who were visiting their loved ones. 🎅🏻 It was a beautiful moment where generations came together, reminded that the magic of Christmas has no age limit. 🎄✨
A very big Havencourt thank you to Brian Cavan and sons for giving up your Christmas morning to bring extra Christmas joy to the home. 🥳🥰

To help families plan their visits, we’d like to share our Christmas Day schedule. 🎄🎄
Santa will visit at 11:00am, with residents coming together in the lounges to open their gifts. 🎅🏻 🎅🏻
Christmas lunch will be served at 1:00pm, as normal.
We look forward to welcoming families throughout the day. 🫶🏻

We are so blessed to have such generous friends and family here at Havencourt, and today was no exception. A huge thank you to Brian Cavan for kindly offering to take some of the residents out to enjoy pre-Christmas drinks at The Ship Inn (Official). 🍻 We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and thoughtfulness, and the gents enjoyed their time socialising together. 🎄✨

Some of our residents’ family members joined us for a spot of Christmas carolling yesterday afternoon. 🎄 Everyone was so good, I think we might need to start a choir! 🎤🎶
