We enjoyed a fascinating afternoon yesterday with ZooLab and their ranger, Ash, who came along to visit us.
Residents had the chance to meet, touch, and even hold a variety of amazing creatures while learning all about them. Among the visitors were a turtle, Mongolian gerbils, a tarantula, a corn snake, a White’s tree frog, and a millipede!

Everyone was very brave and showed real curiosity and interest in learning about each animal. It was a truly engaging and memorable experience for all.

We spent a delightful afternoon with Dougie Reid, who entertained us with his singing and guitar playing. His programme of familiar songs brought back many happy memories and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

We started the day with our morning crossword ✏️ before getting creative with some seasonal window decorations. 🍁🍂 After lunch, we had plenty of laughs playing some livelier games together. 😄😄

Today’s activities included “Fun Riddles”, 😄seated football, ⚽️ music and movement with the rainbow ribbons 🌈 and a cheeky game of Scottish Music Bingo to round things off. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The morning began with a mix of crosswords, games, and a little reading. 📖 ✏️ After our cuppie, we did some baking, filling the home with the lovely smell of cinnamon. ☺️ In the afternoon, some residents enjoyed one-to-one time in their rooms, while others joined in with music games. 🎶 🎵

☀️ This morning, some of our residents enjoyed a sunny walk, while a few of the gents headed out shopping. 🛍️🛒 We marked National Comic Strip Day with a read through some old favourites 😄 and were delighted by a visit from our four-legged friend, Dylan the dog. 🐶❤️

In the afternoon, a couple of our ladies joined the Knit and Natter group at St. James Church Hall for Scrabble and a good chat 🧶, while the rest stayed back for games with Lucy. 🎲🧩

The next time you’re in the upstairs dining room take a look at the lovely new table centrepieces, all of which were arranged by the residents this morning. 🌸🌼🍁
