The first Wednesday in August is know as “black Wednesday” as the brand new doctors are let loose on the wards.

I remember my first day so well, terrified of the responsibility placed upon me but excited to start the journey into the career I had worked so hard to get to.

Thankfully I made it through long shifts, relentless pressure as a junior doctor and made some fabulous friends on the way.

I always knew I loved working with children and from that my career in paediatrics grew. In parallel, I grew passionate about skincare. With ever increasing demands within in the NHS environment, I experienced one of the big rewards of aesthetic medicine… the TIME to spend with patients, getting to know them, chatting and helping them relax.

I now have the perfect balance; the fast paced rewarding work in paediatrics teamed with my slower paced aesthetics work. My caring side thrives in both roles. This perfect harmony allows me to truly switch off and create balance and time for my family. 🥰
