My hair doesn't look like this any more. It's constantly evolving, as are we all as humans! Well it's been about a year since I posted anything so I just wanted to let you know, if you are here to look for help, that I am actively working with people, just not active on social media, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you are in need of some support.

Sharing another wee testimonial I received from a student who was looking for help to overcome the effects that racism has had on her life in Scotland. I do not take the privilege I have lightly and was hugely grateful for the trust this person put in me.

I am always humbled at how people are able to work so hard on themselves for positive change. Another inspiring young person!

Testimonial - Student at Dundee University

Deciding to get help was one of the best decisions I have made for myself. I felt selfish for wanting to seek help as I thought my problems were not sever enough to get help for. But after being listened to and learning about my emotional needs I understand that I should not feel selfish or guilty as it was what I really needed.

Looking back at my progress it was great to see how I steadily got better. I was trying to work on myself for a long time beforehand thinking I can just get better on my own. But I was never able to sustain myself. Kicking myself for ‘’failing’’ and not giving myself time and credit for all the work I put in and focusing too much on the end result.

I use what I learned from my sessions in my daily life. I have a much greater understanding of myself and my capabilities. I have been introduced to much better coping mechanisms and habits that keep me healthy, happy and that I am able to maintain easily.

I was listened to, supported and guided in the right direction. After just two months I have achieved what I thought was the impossible.

The awesome Haveneers have set up this Community Larder to help the local community through these tricky times. Today I went along with a wee donation and brought some mayo home and toothpaste:):) Please share this with your friends, anybody who may benefit. It's there for everybody to use. Check out the Haven in Stonehaven page for opening times.

To support the challenges facing our community we are transforming our yoga studio into a Community Larder!

We have a vision that no-one in our community should ever experience hunger.

A Community Larder includes addressing food poverty as one of it’s aims but it is much more than that and it operates differently to a food bank.

A Community Larder is:

- A place for food and other essentials (eg tolietries / sanitary products)
- Open and welcomes everyone
- No referral is required (or details needed to be given to access the larder.)
- People have the ability to choose what items they require

Over the next few days we will be sharing more information about the community larder;

- when we will be opening
- how you can support it
- how we are working collaboratively and in partnership with other organisations.

I'm so grateful for clients who send reviews to me to be anonymised on here as it can help encourage others to seek support, whether that be with me or elsewhere. Please speak out if you need help. (sorry for the bad "editing")

As we move through "lockdown" and I move deeper into the world of online therapy, the reach widens. I am very happy to be supporting scholars of the Robertson Trust at universities all over Scotland. It's humbling to work with such inspiring young people.

As a new year begins I'm so happy to be back to working with people who have determination to make positive change and are bold enough to ask for some help/guidance in doing so. All the best for 2020 to my clients and friends past and present.
