The thought for today is a long one! 💕
I know there will be so many of you who struggle with Mother's Day, today.
Just wanted you to know that if you struggle, you're not alone...I've lost both my Mum and my Son.
So I wrote a few words 🤗
But also to wish all you lovely Mums a special day. I'll certainly sit down in the evening with a nice chilled glass of fizz and raise a toast to us all. Much love ❤⚘🌹❤
MOTHER'S DAY
Mother's Day is a time for celebration
For Mothers or not, we find inspiration
In the women who shape our lives
With everything she says and does
To be held in high admiration
And deserve the upmost adoration
But this Mother's day can we spare a thought
For those today who'll feel distraught
I'll speak from my heart
And dedicate it to those apart
From their Mothers or children or those not yet born
There's many today who will feel forlorn
Thinking of the ones missing their Mothers who have gone on before
Your Mum is the one you truly adore
To be without her is hard to bear
There's no other love that can compare
I sincerely say to those of you who have lost
The woman who meant the most
I know how you feel and we will not be ashamed
To ensure our love is forever proclaimed
My Mum was beautiful, bonnie and blythe
Oh what I'd give if she were alive
So to all you sons and daughters who are bereft
And staring at the chasm your dear Mum has left
Know you're not alone in feeling this pain
The love you feel will still remain
You were blessed to have felt such love
She'll be caring for you from up above
And then there's the women who long for a child
The one thing that occupies her mind
The longing to be a Mother can be overwhelming
Every child they see, their heart is melting
It tears at their very soul
Without a baby they don't feel whole
This pain is very real, some people can't see
To be a Mum is all they want to be
There's Mothers who have lost their daughter or son
A life full of promise barely begun
May you never be in that place
The path in life you have to face
Living your days without a part of your being
Hearing those words and disbelieving
"You'll never see your baby again"
How on earth can you bear this pain?
But bear it you must if this occurs
Take comfort that they were yours
You had precious time with them and will always remember
No time nor tide will extinguish the ember
Inside your heart the glow is still there
They'll always be with you and forever dear
So please if you're struggling
know you're not alone
Reach out to others,
pick up the phone
There are always people
with listening ears
Who'll talk to you and
share your tears
Time will ease your pain
You will feel joy again
Keep your loved ones
Close to your heart
For in there you're never apart
