This afternoon, Tuesday 30 September, our clinical staff will be out of the practice for a training session. Therefore if you have a medical need that cannot wait until tomorrow please consider the alternative support available:
- Attend a community pharmacy
- Attend a Minor Injury and Illness Unit (Stroud or the Vale are the closest)
- Call 111
- For emergencies call 999 OR attend A&E

Our phone lines will remain open for any queries but if you have a medical need you may be directed to an alternative option. Our front desk will be manned should you wish to drop in any prescription requests or have any queries that our non-clinical staff can help with.

We will be back open as normal tomorrow - Wednesday 1 October

Here is the August Friends and Family Test Feedback!

As always we welcome comments and feedback from our patients to allow us to improve and offer the best care that we can.

This month we received 87 responses. This was a drop in the number or responses received this month but the feedback was still great.

We asked "How likely are you to recommend us to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?"

The results:
Extremely likely - 94.25%
Likely - 4.60%
Neither - 1.15%
Unlikely - 0.00%
Extremely unlikely - 0.00%
Don't know - 0.00%

The new NHS 10-Year Plan talks about prevention, community care and digital reform.

But without real funding and urgent investment, it risks being just another plan that fails GPs and patients.

Ticks are widespread across Great Britain and their distribution is expanding. Ticks are most active in the spring and summer months but can be active all year round. Lyme disease can be contracted anywhere where humans come into contact with ticks - in the countryside, urban parks or private gardens. It is important not to dismiss any areas as ā€˜zero risk’.

For travellers, Lyme disease is particularly prevalent in parts of central, eastern and northern Europe (including Scandinavia) and in the north eastern states of the US.

It is important for the public to ā€˜be tick aware’- to know what measures to take to avoid being bitten, how to perform tick checks on themselves, family members and pets and how to remove any attached tick promptly and safely.

Some local pharmacies may have different opening hours over the bank holiday weekend.
