As the General Election approaches on Thursday, 4 July 2024, all 650 Westminster seats will be contested. It’s crucial that we seize this opportunity to make the voice of counselling and psychotherapy heard by the next cohort of MPs.

The BACP has designed a user-friendly template for you to email all prospective parliamentary candidates in your constituency. This template clearly articulates the BACP's key policy requests, making it easy for you to communicate what we want the next Government to commit to regarding counselling, psychotherapy, and the nation's mental health.
While some may question the BACP's actions or motives, initiatives like this are a testament to their dedication to more than just being a membership body. I am personally excited about this initiative and I encourage as many people as possible to get involved, helping the BACP to drive significant and lasting change.
Together, we can ensure that every new and returning MP returns to Parliament with a clear message: mental health matters.
