It's been a long while since I showed my face to you all so I thought let's do an introduction.

👋 My name is Alison, I'm a qualified and experienced Psychotherapeutic counsellor specialising in Nature/eco Therapy.

Helping clients figure out who they are and where they want to be by re-connnecting to nature allows them to re-connect to themselves. Working as a 3 way alliance, you, me and nature is a powerful collaboration.

I have a deep passion for this, working mainly with the relationship you have with yourself and others (including attachment theory), anxiety, and grief and loss.

I am human and real, I've experienced pain and distress. I was born with Spina Bifida, my mum died at 57, I survived cervical cancer, watched my husband suffer with ulcerative colitis and my dad died at 70.
All these experiences shape me and yet, they do not define me.

As well as this, I am privileged to call myself a mum to two beautiful boys aged 9 and 6, I'm a self confessed gardening geek and nature nerd, I love reading, especially Terry pratchett books, I get super excited finding fungi, I love having coffee and cake with friends and training at an amazing gym, doing crossfit.

Say hi below, and if it feels okay, share a little about yourself 💚🌱

What a great morning at Connections with Purpose today ☕

Around 15 local businesses and community-minded people joined us at Stockwells Coffee House and Bar for coffee, conversation and connection.

A big thank you to Ed Cooper for a fantastic talk sharing insight from his experience supporting SMEs. It sparked some great conversations across the room.

These mornings are all about creating a relaxed space where local businesses can connect while also supporting the work of The Pierce Perspective.

📅 The next event is already booked in:

Monday 13th April
9–10am
Stockwells Coffee House & Bar

Next time we’ll be joined by Jason Paton from Fosse Tech, talking about internet security and protecting your business online.

More details coming soon.

A luscious lemon tree, having a gentle shower in the bath tub.....and looking pretty fine.

Looking closer and paying more attention, there are scale insects. These teeny insects suck the sap and can weaken the plant over time.

Without care, attention and dedication, this lemon tree would start to suffer.
This highlights the parallels to our own wellbeing.

Those sap sucking insects remind you that people can sap your energy, that everyday demands can drain you of joy and before you know it...self care is a long forgotten memory.

Regular self care promotes resilience, replenishes your reserves and helps you remember you're worth looking after too.

What does your self care look like?
