Did you know that in the UK, stroke strikes every five minutes and there are 1.4 million people living with the effects of a stroke.

This World Stroke Day, we would like to raise awareness of stroke symptoms and the need to act FAST.

F - Face: One side of the face may droop, and the person may be unable to smile.
A - Arm: Weakness or numbness in one arm may prevent the person from raising both arms and keeping them there.
S - Speech: Speech may be slurred, garbled, or difficult to understand. The person may also have trouble understanding what you are saying.
T - Time: Time to call 999.

The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. Mums, dads, grandparents, young people, and even children can be left unable to move, see, speak, or even swallow.
