👉 I almost gave up on my career.

I was a pharmacy manager doing everything I was “supposed” to do. From the outside, it looked stable. Safe.

But inside, I felt stuck.

I wasn’t growing. I wasn’t valued. And with five children depending on me (now seven), the pressure felt heavier than ever.

The quiet voice in my head kept saying:

“This is it. Be grateful. Don’t rock the boat.”

For a while, I almost believed it.

The turning point came when I changed my environment. That shift gave me the space to think differently and finally see new possibilities.

I started to explore.
I trained as a mindfulness coach.
I launched a small futsal coaching company.

Not everything worked. But each step chipped away at the belief that I was stuck.

Then the pandemic hit. And I remember thinking:

F*** it. What do I really have to lose?*

That moment changed everything.

I realised the system I worked in was excellent at managing illness but not built to optimise health. People wanted more than prescriptions. They wanted to thrive.

That’s why I started NutriZen — to build a space that combined clinical credibility with evidence-informed wellness, where people could take ownership of their health.

This weekend I stepped into HX25 not just as a wellness founder but as a father.

I brought two of my sons along, and watching their curiosity and excitement reminded me exactly why I do what I do.

The event brought together some of the brightest minds in health optimisation. From Jonny Wilkinson on mind–body integration, to Gary Brecka on metabolic optimisation, and Kayla Barnes Lentz unpacking the female blueprint, it was packed with insight, energy and innovation.
