You may have noticed a shift in the way I’ve been writing.

Over the past year, something old has been shedding.
Like a snake outgrowing a skin that could no longer hold it.

Some of that shedding has been dark.
Not the poetic kind — the kind that strips you bare.
There have been real highs…
and moments so low I didn’t know how I’d stand again.

People say that when you reach the bottom —
when there’s nowhere left to go
and nothing left to cling to —
something in you is forced to rise.

Not because you want to.
But because you must.

This Year of the Horse has changed how I see everything.
It’s pulled my writing out of the mind and into something older.
More spiritual. More embodied. More honest. More mature

The horses have shown me that life is bigger than survival. Time is linear and they are presence
Bigger than coping.
Bigger than the stories we tell ourselves just to get through.

So if you’ve been in the dark with me —

in the quiet, the grief, the unravelling —

know this:

The Year of the Horse isn’t about going back.
It’s about remembering, its about being humbled by the experience and becoming that wiser soul

And The Way of the Horse is carrying us into a completely new journey now.
One of transformation.
Of truth. one of trust, gratitude and
Of fire, finally held by the light
