๐Ÿ“ข Important notice for our patients โ€” please read!

Our practice is upgrading its clinical computer system, moving from EMIS to Vision on Wednesday 6 May.

To carry out this change safely, we will be running an Urgent-Care-Only service from Monday 4 May for that week. During this time:

โŒ Repeat medication requests will not be processed
โœ… Urgent medical needs will still be seen

This means if you rely on a repeat prescription, you will need to order it early โ€” before the end of April โ€” to make sure you don't run out.

We know this may need a little planning ahead, and we really appreciate your understanding and patience. We'll be sharing more reminders over the coming weeks.

If you have any questions, please call reception during normal hours. Thank you for helping us make this upgrade go smoothly! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ“ข Important Notice for Our Patients ๐Ÿ“ข
We have some exciting news โ€” our practice is upgrading to a new clinical system on 6 May 2026!
If you are currently registered for Patient Access (i.e. ordering repeat medication via the web, or the Patient Access app on your phone) we need to ensure we have your most up-to-date contact details on record, including an email address.
Keep an eye on your phone โ€” you will be receiving a text message from us over the next few days asking you to confirm or update your details. Please take a moment to respond, as this will help us continue to provide you with the best possible care.
If you have any questions or haven't received a text and think you should have, please don't hesitate to contact the practice.
Thank you for your help with this โ€” we're looking forward to serving you even better with our new system!

*How We're Working to See You When You Need Us*
We know it can sometimes be challenging to get an appointment when you need one, and we want to explain how we're working hard to see as many patients as possible each day.

When you contact the practice, our reception team will first check whether we can help you directly - for example, by directing you to our community pharmacies for minor ailments, booking routine appointments like blood pressure checks, or signposting you to other NHS services that might be more appropriate for your needs.

For urgent concerns, we have two senior clinicians who review all requests each day. They'll ensure that patients with clinically urgent needs are seen the same day, either by phone or face-to-face. For less urgent matters, we'll arrange a routine appointment, which may be up to two weeks away. In this case, you may not hear back from us on the same day.

We're doing everything we can to balance urgent and routine care, but like many GP practices, we're facing unprecedented demand. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

You can help by:
- Using one of our local pharmacies for minor illnesses and medication queries
- Making clear to reception when you require routine care (that is, not on the day)

*Thank you for your continued patience and trust in our practice.*

Our receptionists are not โ€˜just adminโ€™ โ€” they are patient advocates, navigating complex systems to get people the care they need. They are the gateway to the clinical team, and without them, there is no access.
The greatest majority of our patients are respectful and kind, and we are grateful for that.
