It’s always a pleasure to support Western Isles Cancer Care Initiative. They do so much to support local cancer patients and their families.

Thank you very much to all the lovely ladies at Stornoway Quilters who have made us cutlery holders for our Rainbow Care Boxes.

If you know someone going through cancer treatment at the moment and aren’t sure how to support them, consider one of our bespoke boxes full of practical and comforting items specially chosen by people who have been through a cancer journey themselves.

The most popular boxes are between £35-£45 but the contents are worth far more due to the wonderful support we receive from local businesses like ishga Skin Care, Stag Bakeries, Cards and Gift Wrap, Sandwick Bay candles and KJ Macdonald Ltd

This Week at WICCI Lewis and Harris
On Monday Carole Miller and Hebridean Harmony will be in the WICCI Centre. Carole believes that it’s never too late to start singing – the only necessary skill is that you want to have a go! There are no judgements at an HH Session – only laughter and fun - so if you enjoy singing they would love to have you join them.

On Tuesday Helen Kirkman, Counsellor, is available for face-to-face appointments. If you feel you would benefit from speaking to a Counsellor please get in contact with us for a referral.

Also on Tuesday we have Jenny Smith offering Aromatherapy Facials. This is a lovely treatment and afterwards everyone says how relaxed they feel. If you've never had a facial before now is the time to try, or if you have and you'd like another, get in contact for an appointment. She is fully booked but we can make you an appointment for next month.

On Wednesday our Ladies Cancer Support Group is meeting in the WICCI Centre - come along for a chat and a cuppa with ladies who have been through similar experiences.

On Thursday we have Angie Key offering leg and foot massage or Indian Head Massage. She is fully booked but we are taking appointments for next month.

Catherine Barron is available for counselling on Friday. Please contact us if you would like a referral.

The treatments and therapies are open to anyone affected by cancer, with up to 6 free sessions available for each treatment.

Many thanks to the passengers of the Nieuw Statendam Cruise Ship which docked in Stornoway last Friday.

Some ladies had started a knitting group on the ship and came and in and just about cleared us out of our beautiful The Crafty Weaver wool and kits! Such nice people and the wool will be making its way to Canada.

So nice to see tourists supporting local producers ❤️
