Challenge Yourself 25!

Here's 25 fun physio games to try today 😀

3. Balloon Keepy-Uppy – Keep the balloon in the air!

4. Slippy Sock Shuffle – Slide across a safe mat in socks like “slippy penguins.”

5. Silly Freeze Dance – Dance to a favourite tune and freeze when the music stops.

7. Pom-Pom Toe Pick-Up – Pick up soft pompoms with your toes and drop them into a tub.

9. Banana Skin Balance Path – Walk along a rope or beam while pretending to dodge imaginary banana skins.

10. Teddy Rescue Crawl – Army crawl to rescue a stranded teddy.

12. Bubble Stomp – Pop bubbles by hopping, stamping, or jumping.

13. Copycat Silly Moves – Copy the physio’s funniest movements and faces.

14. Teddy Bat & Balloon – Play gentle balloon “tennis” using cuddly toys as bats

15. Hopscotch Giggle Squares – Say a silly word in each square as you hop through.

16. Sock Puppet Workout – Sock puppets “tell” the child when to jump, crouch, or tiptoe.

17. Colour Dash Relay – Run to the cone colour called out… backwards or sideways!

18. Giggle Tug – Light resistance band tug-of-war with silly sound effects.

19. Monster March Parade – Big stompy steps with loud monster voices.

20. Feather Blow Challenge – Blow a feather along a table or floor track.

21. Crab Footie – Play football while crab-walking.

22. Silly Steps Trail – Follow a path of floor markers each with funny instructions (hop like a frog, tiptoe like a cat, wiggle like a worm…).

24. Treasure Hunt Poses – Find hidden objects while holding silly balance poses

25. Don’t Laugh Lunges - do lunges whilst listening jokes

Squat to stand practice on a DMI balance board 💪

One of my little super stars working hard during her weekly physio sessions ✨

Why squat to stand? To promote functional independence standing up from the floor

Why repeat? Repetition (both in physio sessions and at home) is key to developing any motor skill. Practice makes perfect 👌

As a children's physio, this day means a lot to me.
It’s a reminder of why I do what I do.

Because I’ve seen how a child’s first step — or first roll, or first independent sit — can light up an entire room.
Because I’ve learned that progress isn’t always measured in milestones, but in moments of courage, persistence, and joy.
Because I get to be part of journeys where movement becomes possibility — and possibility becomes confidence.

Working with children with CP has taught me more about perseverance, creativity, and hope than any textbook ever could.
Every child I meet shows me that ability is far greater than disability — and that with the right support, therapy, and inclusion, amazing things happen. 💪💚

Here’s to celebrating every achievement, big and small — and continuing to advocate for awareness, inclusion, and opportunities for every person with CP.
