A fun and lively afternoon for our residents 😊

Lovely social moments in Hagley while waiting for dinner to be served 😊

Chips are always a good option, and even better with good company. Fred enjoyed a friendly chat before lunch and had everyone laughing when he realised he could not read what was written on the side of his glasses because he was not wearing them 😅🤣 It is these everyday moments of connection and humour that make the day so special.

What a lovely celebration we had at Oriel Care Home last week as we wished Stephen a very happy birthday! 🎉🎂

For “the man who has everything”, Stephen’s family created an enormous birthday card and a beautiful wall hanging, which he truly appreciated. Such a thoughtful surprise, and a wonderful reminder of how special family moments are. 💛👏

On Wednesday morning, Reverend Claire and her friend Pauline joined us for our Holy Communion Service. 💛✨

Sue, Molly, Margaret and Una always enjoy this special time together, and it was a lovely, peaceful morning for everyone. 🙏

Earlier in the week, we celebrated Norah’s birthday with a special get-together alongside her close friends, and it was a wonderful occasion enjoyed by all 🎁🎂✨

A big thank you to Prince for the delicious buffet food and for baking such a beautiful birthday cake!

After the celebrations, our residents came together to make cards to show their support for Amelia.

It was such a thoughtful, caring activity and a lovely reminder of the kindness in our Oriel community 💌🌷

A lovely day of cosy moments and meaningful activities here at Oriel Care Home 💛

☕ Betty was patiently waiting for her well-earned cup of tea, while Peter enjoyed watching the children playing in the snow from his window, sharing all the details with us afterwards.

💪 Even from her room, Jean made sure she completed her leg exercises, staying determined as always.

💜 Purple definitely seemed to be the colour of the day, with Pauline looking so pretty in purple, and Una too! And Muriel was absolutely delighted with her new top cover-up.

✂️ We also enjoyed a wonderful card making session with Una, Josie, Pat, Norah, Muriel, Bow and Fred, all interacting brilliantly and supporting one another throughout. Everyone was so pleased with their efforts, and the finished cards were fantastic!

And a special mention to Josie, who was so happy after her son’s visit and the help he gave her today 😊

A gentle and social afternoon in the lounge in Hagley 💙

Betty enjoyed a little social interaction, while Pauline was, as always, happy to chat and share a smile. Barbara, Mabel and Joan spent some time by the window watching the children being brought home from school, a lovely moment of connection with the world outside.

Seeing the dogs being taken for a walk always brings joy to Barbara too 🐾 A calm, comforting afternoon filled with conversation and simple pleasures.

A calm and stress free aqua painting session in Ibstock brought plenty of smiles at Oriel Care Home 🎨💙

Pat, Margaret, Jean, Una and Molly all had a wonderful time, with Marion popping in to have a little go too. There were lots of pictures completed, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of happy moments shared together.

Pat was unstoppable and even chose the biggest brush, which gave everyone a good laugh 🤣😅

Molly was especially proud of her artwork, and rightly so.

A truly peaceful and enjoyable activity for everyone involved.

Lots of smiles and lovely moments at Oriel Care Home. 😊

Sue was all smiles, while Gordon and Barbara enjoyed a catch up together. Sue and Ginny were looking lovely, and over in Ibstock, Norah and Muriel were looking forward to a game of Bird Bingo.
Jean, Una, Margaret and Pat joined in the fun too, with Pat winning “the car” and plenty of smiles all round. 🐦🎉

A lovely moment at Oriel Care Home 😊

Len joined us in the dining room for lunch over the weekend and really enjoyed sharing his meal with fellow residents. It is always wonderful to see everyone coming together and enjoying each other’s company.
