Many parents of worried or anxious children reach a moment where they feel like nothing they say seems to help.
They reassure.
They encourage.
They try to solve the problem.
And somehow the anxiety only seems to get bigger.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. This is something many families experience when anxiety becomes part of a child’s world.
Earlier this week I ran a workshop called When Nothing Works, where I explored why this happens and how anxiety can quietly pull parents into a pattern where the more we try to fix the feeling, the more stuck things can become.
We also talked about what it can look like to respond differently in those moments — not by doing nothing, but by getting alongside your child in a way that helps their nervous system settle rather than escalate.
I’ve made the workshop replay available, so if this is something you’ve been navigating with your child, you’re very welcome to watch.

I hope it brings a little clarity and reassurance if this has been a difficult space for your family.
