Bringing our local community together! 🧡

We’re delighted to invite local businesses, charities, and community groups to join us for the launch of our Networking Breakfast.

Held on the last Thursday of each month, this is a great opportunity to connect with local professionals, share ideas, and support one another within our community.

We’re also excited to welcome Emily Henderson, Corporate and Event Fundraiser from KEMP Hospice, who will be joining us as our guest speaker to share insights and inspiration.

Whether you’re looking to build partnerships, raise awareness for your organisation, or simply expand your network, it’s a wonderful way to start your morning along with some complimentary refreshments.

This is a free event, but booking is essential to ensure we cater for all dietary requirements.

Today we celebrate all the amazing mums and mother figures in our lives. The ones who show up every day with love, patience and strength, often running on empty but still giving everything to the people they care about.

At The Gables, we wanted to mark the day in a small but meaningful way, so each of our female residents was gifted a beautiful orchid corsage to wear today, a little symbol of appreciation and celebration for the incredible women who call our home theirs.

But we also know that days like today can feel complicated for some. For those who have lost their mums, who miss them deeply, or who are finding today a little heavy, we’re thinking of you too.

Families come in many forms and love shows up in many ways. Whether you’re celebrating, remembering, or simply moving through the day quietly, you matter and you’re seen.

From all of us at The Gables, we’re sending warmth, comfort and a little extra kindness your way today.

There is something about a familiar song that simply makes you want to dance.

Our latest session with entertainer Debbie Mills turned The Gables into a dance floor, filled with hip swings and plenty of shared laughter.

We love these musical afternoons because they do so much more than just entertain, they boost mobility, lift spirits, and keep both body and mind engaged. It was a beautiful reminder of how much joy a simple melody can bring.

We are delighted to be sponsoring Bradley Thomas MP's Pensioners’ Fair this month and look forward to being part of what promises to be a fantastic community event.

With more than 40 exhibitors attending, the fair will bring together a wide range of local organisations offering advice, support, services and opportunities for older people in our community. We're celebrating some wonderful news at The Gables!

Following our latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we're proud to share that The Gables Care Home has been rated 'Good' across all five areas, Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. ✅

This result is a true reflection of the incredible team here in Hagley, who show up every single day with kindness, patience and professionalism.

We loved hearing what our residents and their families had to say:

Our residents woke up feeling energised after a fantastic morning session with the crew! 💪 It was so inspiring to see our everyone crushing it and showing what dedication looks like. We had a blast moving and grooving together, proving age is just a number when you've got passion! 🔥 . Big shoutout to everyone who joined in and made it such a memorable workout! ✨

Feeling so good after a wonderful morning of gentle exercise with Victoria and our amazing residents. 💪 It's always a joy to see everyone moving and smiling. 😊 A little bit of movement goes a long way for both body and mind. ✨
