Merrie Maggie - Laughter Yoga

Wish I could have taken some photos / videos at last night’s Laughter Yoga session. As it has been so hot and knowing my usual room would be like a sauna, my group wandered down to the park in Wordsley for an ‘al fresco’ session.

We waved pretend flags for ‘Black Country Day’, Sang the ‘Ha ha’ version of the Marseillaise for Bastile Day. Later we pretended to jump waves at the seaside whilst the sun behind us created huge shadows as we jumped about.

We played on pretend ‘see-saw’s and then a delightful group of teenage lads joined us as we used the colourful ‘parachute’ with many of them diving underneath it as we lifted it up and everyone laughed heartily.

A memorable session.

Wow ... how are you coping with the heatwave at the moment? I waited until early evening last night to go for a walk and found the perfect shady spots in woodland near where I live. Couldn't resist the opportunity for some laughter ....

So good to run a Laughter Yoga session for a group of 'mature' people near my home today. Seeing them unsure what to expect at the beginning and even slightly 'indifferent' to beaming smiles on their faces at the end. In fact, two ladies weren't sure they wanted to attend at all as they had just lot their husbands. They admitted to me afterwards that they were so glad they did - it really lifted them.

I love sharing Laughter Yoga. 🥰

Finally been able to put together a couple of videos to create a compilation from World Laughter Day on 4 May 2025 at Mary Stevens Park, Stourbridge. Couldn't help but giggle as I edited them. Hope you will too:
