Great Laughter Yoga session at Wordsley Community Centre last night. Here we are showing how to play with mischievous 'laughter boxes'.

The highlight of the session was using our bodies to spell our first names. The tears were streaming down our faces with laughter as we gyrated from our waists to 'draw' each letter of our names.

Go on, have a go ... stand in front of a mirror, hands on your hips and gyrate to 'spell' your first name. 🤣😂

Here is my Merrie Maggie Newsletter for March. Lots of uplifting news and getting excited to get involved with Comic Relief again on 20 March 2026.

You will have a surprise when you click on my Merrie Maggie website links as it has had a much needed make-over:

In February I ran a Laughter Yoga and Bollywood Dance session for a group of teenage and young adults service uses with learning difficulties. They were already quite a joyful and the place had a Youth Club atmosphere and were a pleasure to work with.

Super Laughter Yoga session at Wordsley Community Centre on Monday evening. A very playful group participated in various fun exercises pretending to be windmills and throwing imaginary cheesecakes at each other along with a Bollywood style dance.

With Pancake and Valentines Day coming up we did the Valentines Traffic Lights: red for not interesting - already taken, amber - possibly interesting and green - very interesting so we made hand hearts as we moved and laughed. Here is the video:

By the end of last year my colleague, Judith Anne Walker and I joined forces to record a podcast about Laughter Yoga for U3A Radio. I am a member of Stourbridge U3A and Judith is a member of Edinburgh U3A (the wonders of using online media) and we were interviewed by Bob Wells. The podcast was 'aired' at the end of January 2026.

The link to the 30-minute podcast will follow with other interesting topics such as climate change and the Gobekli Tepe archaeological site before our finale about Laughter Yoga. If you just wish to hear our contribution, scroll into the timeline of the podcast to: 16:20 where you can hear just our interview. Here is the link:

In our January edition, we hear about one of the most debated challenges of our time, climate change. What exactly is going on? And for those of us intrigued...

Last Thursday I led a Laughter Yoga session for a group of young people with learning difficulties that absolutely stole my heart. They were open to trying something different, were boisterous and playful, loving every moment of the session.

We did some Bollywood Laughter Yoga dancing too, specially the 'Happy Dance'. We did the milkshake laughter, mischievous laughter boxes and 'Balou' from Jungle Book where two people stand back to back to pretend to scratch their backs on a tree.

They were such a happy band of people before the session and positively 'glowing' afterwards.

I love sharing Laughter Yoga and when it has such a wonderful effect of people, the effects are priceless.
