SAVE THE DATE: WOLVES ALL STARS VS THE MARY STEVENS HOSPICE

At the heart of the day is the highly anticipated Jane Webb Memorial Trophy match, as Wolves All Stars take on The Mary Stevens Hospice in a fixture packed with excitement.

Explore the legend stand, get your hands on exclusive sports memorabilia, and take part in a grand charity auction. Families can enjoy a packed schedule of entertainment, including a lively mascot race, kids’ activities, and traditional games. With a variety of food stalls, live music from Bhangra Smash Up, and a vibrant atmosphere at Stourton Park, the day will be packed full of fun for all the family.

As part of our Open Event on Saturday 9th May, we’re holding some really special (and completely free) sessions focused on making memories.

These workshops are within a welcoming environment at our Open Day, and we’d love for you to come along and see what it's all about.

We have three slots available throughout the morning:

We are delighted to announce the opening of our new speciality book and coffee shop this Friday 1st May 📚☕

Be one of the first to see this new welcoming space on the first floor of our Stourbridge High Street shop where book and coffee lovers can browse, relax and support The Mary Stevens Hospice. You’ll find a wide range of speciality, rare, vintage and local interest books, and why not treat yourself to a cup of coffee while you browse?

Every book purchased and coffee enjoyed will help raise vital funds to help us continue making a positive difference within the community.

London Marathon...completed it! ✅

We are beyond proud of our incredible team of runners: Sarah, Harry, Emily, and John, who conquered all 26.2 miles! After months of grueling training and battling every type of weather, they crossed that finish line to raise funds for The Mary Stevens Hospice. We hope they’re finally enjoying some well-deserved rest... and that the post-race aches are starting to fade!

A massive THANK YOU to our team for your incredible grit and determination. We also have to give a huge shout-out to our little superstar, Gideon, who smashed the TCS Mini Marathon. You are a true Hospice Hero! 🌟

Our forest school was in full swing last week, and it was one of those sessions that really reminds us why we do this.

We spent some time chatting about how the face we show the world isn't always how we feel underneath. We used the weather to describe it, how you can look "sunny" and be smiling on the outside, even if it feels a bit "rainy" or sad on the inside. 🌦️

The children headed into the woods to find objects that matched their own internal weather. It was amazing to see what they came up with: a spatula for "mixed up" emotions, a tyre because they were "rolling" with their feelings and excited to start, and some blue water that felt just like the rain of a sad day.

We also introduced five minutes of peace, just sitting still and listening to the birds and the wind in the trees. In a space created specifically for bereaved children, these quiet moments of being honest about our own "weather" are so important, and we are proud of them all for opening up. 🌲

Our next Bereavement Hub in Stourbridge is coming up this week.

Our Bereavement Hubs are here to provide a space to share feelings around grief and to speak to others in a supportive environment. These sessions are free to attend and open to anyone throughout the Dudley borough, regardless of whether you have received support from the hospice or not. No booking is required; just drop in.

We are so excited to officially launch our 2026 Sunflower Growing Competition! After such a brilliant success last year, we are inviting our wonderful community to join us once again.

From tomorrow (while stocks last) collect your FREE pouch of sunflower seeds from any of our hospice shops, hospice receptions, or from our friends at Clent Nurseries. This year, we’re nurturing our spirituality again as part of National Gardeners' Week. Whether you have a green thumb or you’re a total beginner, let’s grow together!

We're now taking applications for YOUNG PERFORMERS AGED 8-15 for our 2027 hospice pantomime, The Snow Queen! ❄ We're looking for the next generation of stars to light up the stage while helping to raise funds for The Mary Stevens Hospice 🌟
