First of the installs this week, The Platinum Ergo straight stairlift with powered hinge and powered swivel from Platinum Stairlifts

Fitted for Mr & Mrs R from Brierly Hill, the door way at the bottom of the stairs was no issue with the powered hinge installed. The stairlift communicates with the hinge so the travel is still seem less and always ready to go!

Fitted with the ever popular Ergo plus seat base in stylish grey upholstery.

Something a little different to our usual stairlift content, the Neptune pool hoist stretcher was delivered to a local school. Good to know it will be making such a difference giving children safe access to the school's swimming pool 😀

Lovely install yesterday for our client Mrs F who had already had a quote for a curved stairlift as a straight stairlift wouldn't be possible on her very steep stairs.

Of course we had the perfect solution! The Platinum Ergo straight stairlift from Platinum Stairlifts was our first choice as the steep angle was no problem, the compact design of the chair sits perfectly with lots of space on the 1/4 landing so Mrs F didn't have to give up any space in her lounge. Also worth a mention that this solution was a fraction of the cost quoted for a Curved lift that wasn't necessary. Another happy client with a stairlift that suits her requirements perfectly!

Happy Monday!

Roll on the 4 day week this week, our offices will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, fingers crossed for some sunshine so our engineers can enjoy a long weekend off! Our phone lines will remain open for emergency callouts only.

The week ahead may be a little shorter then usual but we have lots going on, multiple installs, removals and servicing to get done. Did you know that even if you didn't purchase your stairlift from us we can still service and attend breakdowns if needed. Our engineers are trained on many of the manufacturers for both straight and curved stairlifts.

One of our installs this week for Mr & Mrs R in Lichfield, the Ergo Curve heavy duty stairlift.

Even with its increased weight capacity of up to 25 stone the stairlift is still compact, sleek and stylish. The wrap start at the bottom leaves plenty of space for our client to get on and off the stairlift safely and with ease and when the stairlift isn't being used it can be folded up taking even less space in the hallway.

The Ergo plus seat base was a must so the stairlift is easier and more comfortable for our client and the grey upholstery matched the new carpet perfectly! So all in all another fabulous install from our engineers.

When the stairs get tricky, we get creative! 🛠️🏠

We recently tackled an install that had "obstacle course" written all over it. With a front door at the bottom of the stairs, a radiator and electric fuse box on the 1/4 landing, narrow staircase, there was almost nowhere for a lift to park without becoming a problem for access through the front door.

Standard stairlifts would have blocked the entrance, but the Flow X was the absolute must for our clients Mr & Mrs M.

Why the Flow X was the only choice:

ASL Technology: Its patented Advanced Swivel and Levelling allows the chair to rotate while moving. This meant we could navigate the tight turns around the electric box with ease.

Front Door Clearance: Because the Flow X can "tuck in" so tightly with the vertical short start rail we ensured the front door remains completely unobstructed. No more squeezing past a bulky lift just to get inside your own home!

Smart Engineering: We worked around the radiator and utilities perfectly, proving that even the most awkward stairs can be made accessible.

Another home made accessible, and another happy client who keeps their hallway clear and safe. It’s not just about getting upstairs; it’s about keeping your home functional!

Happy Friday!!

What a week, busy with stairlift installs and servicing, this has been one of our busiest starts to the year we have ever had.

So when the biannual service was due for our clients in Birmingham I think our engineer enjoyed the peace and tranquillity at this beautiful pool and spa!

Servicing a hoist whether its portable, wall mounted or ceiling mounted is a must to make sure the hoist is still safe to use privately or in a public area. We do all our usual checks and the very important weight test to make sure the hoist is able to work safely at full weight capacity.

Happy New Year to all our clients and suppliers! A bit late I know but we really have had such a busy start to the New Year I've barely had time to be in the office.

Unfortunately the weather has slightly impacted us being able to get to some routine jobs but we just dont want to take the risk in what were quite bad conditions. Thought we had finished with the rubbish weather but looks like the snow will be back with us by the end of the week 😖

We will always try our best to get to anyone who needs us but the new forecast may mean we need to jiggle things around, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but it is out of our hands and our staff's safety whilst out and about driving is paramount.

Fingers crossed the snow wont be as bad as predicted but if it is have fun if you love the snow or stay in with a cuppa and a blanket if you can 😄

We would like to wish all our customers, suppliers and followers a very Merry Christmas!! Thank you for all your custom and support over the last 12 months.

Our offices are now closed, to ensure our engineers get a much deserved Christmas break we are available for EMERGANCY breakdowns only. We will not be booking any routine work until the new year.

We had a wonderful time helping out at our local primary school by bringing a bit of Christmas magic with a special visit from Santa 🎅✨ Seeing the smiles and excitement on the children’s faces made it all worthwhile, and we’re so happy to have been able to support the school and community in this small but meaningful way. A big thank you to everyone involved for helping spread some festive cheer!

One of last curve installs for 2025! Can not believe how quickly this year has gone, we still have a couple of Curves to install and we do keep straight stairlifts in stock ready to go so can fit before Christmas.

Yet another fab install of the Ergo Curve from Platinum Stairlifts, we at Dolphin love these stairlifts, a breeze to install, always look so modern and stylish and our customers find them so easy to use, with the ergonomic seats for comfort, easy to use arm controls, an easy to read digital display and a whole host of safety features why would we choose anything else to recommend to our customers!!
