Another perfect example of why we dont employ "sales" staff to go out and quote our products.
At Dolphin Stairlifts (Central) Ltd we all have varied job roles, I can be quoting one day, attending a breakdown the next, assisting on an install or catching up on paperwork in the office and booking all the jobs in. Our engineers are trained on all the stairlifts we install and are also out quoting, measuring up for installs and attending services and callouts.
As a company we choose to do it this way as we are all here to give our clients the very best and honest advice when it comes to purchasing a stairlift.
Our lovely client Mrs G from Oldbury had another stairlift company go in and quote for her stairlift, she and her family were told point blank that a stairlift would not fit and the only other option would be a through floor lift. Through floor lifts are massively more expensive and intrusive then a stairlift, of course sometimes there is no other option but for Mrs G this was NOT the case.
I myself quoted this one and within 5 minutes and a few simple measurements taken I knew that the Platinum Ergo Curve stairlift would be a perfect fit. A little tight on the knee room at the top but not nothing that couldn't be solved by simply shaving some woodwork at the top of the stairs to gain a few more mm.
My point is I dont work on commission, I am not sales person, Im not trying to hit a quota of sales..... my job is to ensure we provide the best, safest and most suitable stairlift solution we can and I hate to see vulnerable people being given bad advise just so they can be charged more money.
