Skin Tag, Mole & Keratosis Removal at Mariko Clinic
Skin tags, benign moles and seborrhoeic keratoses are extremely common. Whilst they are usually harmless, they can be unsightly, catch on clothing, sit in prominent areas such as the face or eyelids, and understandably cause distress or loss of confidence.
The NHS no longer routinely removes skin lesions for cosmetic reasons. At Mariko Clinic, we offer a bespoke private minor surgical service for the assessment and removal of skin tags, benign moles and keratoses.
Every client is first given a full clinical assessment. If there is any concern that a lesion may be suspicious or require further investigation, you will be referred promptly back to your GP for onward management.
If the lesion is confirmed as purely cosmetic, removal can be safely performed in clinic.
We use minor surgical techniques only — we do not use cryotherapy. This allows for precise removal, excellent cosmetic outcomes and appropriate wound management.
All procedures are carried out by Ian Felix, who trained in minor surgery within the NHS, ensuring high clinical standards and patient safety.
Working alongside Ian is Claire Felix, who is trained in wound care and post-procedural management. Claire plays a key role in ensuring wounds are cleansed, dressed appropriately and monitored carefully, supporting optimal healing throughout your recovery.
A full aftercare package is provided. Where suturing is required, you will be invited back to Mariko Clinic approximately 10 days later for stitch removal and review, ensuring continuity of care through to full healing.
