We have been so busy at EPE that our social media presence has been limited recently. Changes are afoot as we move towards the end of our tenth Summer Term and look to the future and we look forward to sharing these with you.

For now, we will share a few highlights from this half term. Casework with children and some furry friends, planting flowers in a school garden, receiving a friendship bracelet from a young person expressing gratitude for support, a working lunch in a local cafe to reflect on a good week’s work and some online CPD.

Well, it might be nearly the end of term here in the Midlands (3 days to go!), but we're not too tired to join in with some educational fun! A couple of our EPE staffers got to meet royalty today in one of our fab schools, in the form of King Henry VIII no less 😅👑

It was lovely to meet you Good King Hal! Thank you for not beheading us 😉 The children sounded like they were having a wonderful time listening and talking to you.

But we do believe in the power of getting together, sharing a cuppa (or whatever you like in your cup/mug/bottle!) and simply talking and listening. At EPE, we are always here to listen, whether you're a child/young person, parent, school staff member or team colleague.

More exciting news! 📣

EPE are now looking to recruit Associate EPs who are interested in working within our team or runing their own EPE Hub. Having successfully launched a Southern Hub (see pic) in September, we now have the opportunity of a Worcestershire Hub available, and would also be interested in hearing from EPs who are keen to set up their own local Hubs. This would offer you the option of working autonomously with a patch of schools but with the support of an established service and team of colleagues behind you.

We are a small and friendly, independent, multi-agency service who have established excellent relationships with our school communities and engage in varied and interesting work.
We have recently celebrated our 10th year of registration 🎉🔟 and have events planned over the next 12 months to mark us completing 10 years of trading and supporting 1000s of children, young people, families and settings.

If you are passionate about EP work, child-centred and keen to be part of a team of likeminded professionals, please feel free to reach out to us for an informal chat so that we can explore how we can work together 🤝

First week of the new term done. Into the 10th full year of being registered and approaching the 10th anniversary of trading.

Started the term off with meetings over coffee and cake, school visits, a team meeting and .

We are planning charity events and celebrations over the course of this year to mark a decade of the service, and I’m hoping to use this page to share some memories.

For now, it’s time to get ready for week 2!

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Ofsted have today announced that they are conducting a Local Area Special Educational Needs and or disabilities (SEND) inspection in Dudley.

Parent carers, children and young people, and practitioners are being asked to complete an online survey.

The inspectors want to know about the help and support that children and young people with SEND get. You can let them know by filling in a survey below. What you tell them will be treated in confidence.

The surveys will close at 9am on Tuesday 14 January 2025.
