Today, on International Women’s Day, I feel immense pride leading a team of extraordinary women.

Every day I see the way we lift one another higher, sharing our strength and compassion with the children, families, schools and communities we serve. The dedication, care and expertise this team brings to their work inspires me constantly, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside such talented women.

Together, we show that when women support and empower one another, incredible things really do happen.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the brilliant women in our team and in our wider community. 💜

As you may recall, we're not particular fans of so-called "Blue Monday". We are, however, big fans of the Samaritans and their campaign to reclaim today as "Brew Monday" and encourage people to reach out, check in on each other and have a natter over a cuppa. Here are a few of the EPE team today doing just that! It doesn't matter if it's tea or something else in your cup, mug or bottle - it's the smile and the listening ear that go with it that are more important.

A lovely last couple of weeks of term. Final school visits and team meeting of the year completed, before a wonderful Christmas meal. It was so nice to be able to say thank you in person to so many of Team EPE. For those who couldn’t join us, you will by now have received our cards / tokens of appreciation. We are grateful to all of all for being such wonderfully dedicated and hardworking professionals and we feel fortunate to be able to work with you to support the equally fabulous schools, families and children we serve. The fact you got us such thoughtful gifts too is a lovely bonus! Happy end of term everyone… it’s nearly Christmas… when Noddy says so!!!

Another lovely productive week at EPE last week. On top of the usual school visits there were Precision Teaching training sessions, supervisory lunches, a meeting with other independent PEPs and the fortnightly Team Meeting where we looked ahead to Christmas. Let’s see what this week brings. Happy Monday everyone! ☀️

Half term at EPE was a mixture of R&R… report writing and relaxation. More time to spend with loved ones, and to get outside and enjoy all of the wonderful things nature has to offer us. I hope all who work on education had a restorative break.

Well, that’s a wrap! Autumn Term One has been completed and what an 8 weeks it has been.

We started off with our future focusing Service Day.

We have completed training and workshops for schools on Autism and Circle of Friends.

We have undertaken work with wonderful children, young people, schools and families.

We have supervised our lovely ELSAs.

We have trained two more brilliant team members in Drawing & Talking.

We have completed CPD activities including attending the Festival of Psychology hosted by edpsy.org.uk.

We also launched our new website: https://edpsych4everyone.com

It will be a working holiday for some of us next week but the slower pace will be much appreciated. Time to recharge before we go again!

Several members of Team EPE spent a beautiful day attending . A wonderfully inclusive event with a host of fabulous presenters and really powerful and thoroughly provoking training sessions. A great opportunity to network too. Thanks to edpsy.org.uk and all those involved in organising such a fabulous festival of psychology. See you next time!

We have had a fabulous first week of term. Our first school visits went well and including a mix of training, meetings and casework. We then had a mini service day for most of the core psychology team with time to reflect, reaffirm our values, create our vision for the future and update our mission statement ahead of the launch of our new website. Great input on Down’s Syndrome and a brief introduction to Protective Behaviours and Homunculi too.
