Today we mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and pay tribute to the extraordinary contribution she made through decades of public service ❤.

As sad as these times are and as much as it will take a little adjusting to saying ‘King’ … I don’t think I’ll ever forget the Queens sense of humour - from her 007 sketch to the fabulous Paddington Jubilee skit that I’ve watched over and over again and always puts a smile on my face!! 😂❤️😂

She also had that true British grit of “keep calm and carry on”..... and it is with that spirit and after much deliberation I have decided that our group will be open this Monday at the usual time of 7pm. We will pay our respects at the start of group, taking time to pause, reflect but most of all come together after what may prove to be a rather emotional day.

I care about you all, about your weightloss and that you achieve your dreams. When you join I make the promise that group will be there 52 weeks of the year through everything life throws at us, a constant point of support, care and compassion. I aim to keep that promise to you all....

This morning so many members and their family and friends came to support us with our 5k walk for Cancer Research.
To me Slimming World is so much more than losing weight- it’s support, friendship, a feeling of belonging and a wonderful community.
Just from this morning we raised £545 and we still have more to come 😍
