Happy New Year from our family to yours 🎉🎩❤️

As we prepare to count down the clock and close the door on 2025. Here’s a reflection of the year gone by. We cannot thank you all enough for your support, loyalty and continued trust. We are so proud to serve our local communities in their time of need. As we celebrate tonight, we remember all those who have gone before us, in the knowledge that they too are celebrating from above 😇♥️

2025 was a landmark year for The Gaunt Family as we celebrated 125 years of caring for families. We have worked hard to grow our well established roots into new communities to continue to provide the first class funeral service we are known for.

This year again we had a record number of families attend our Christmas Remembrance Service at Lifecentral Church. We raised more vital funds for many charities including Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity, KEMP Hospice, Birmingham Christmas Shelter, numerous Schools and Grass Roots Football Teams and Bewdley Rotary. 🙏🎈♥️

We celebrated special birthdays, qualifications and anniversaries and we sadly also felt the loss of some family and friends along the way 😢💔

Our proudest moment this year has to be the acquisition of our 7th funeral home Caldicotts Funerals - Gaunts of Tenbury Wells previously (A H Caldicott & Sons) which firmly seals our growing presence across Worcestershire and Shropshire and allows us to care for even more families in their time of need. Graham Caldicott and his team remain a vital part of the business and will continue to serve the families of Tenbury with the same level of care and expertise his family has since 1919.

We proudly welcomed new members to our family and team and we are excited for whatever 2026 has in store for us. 🤩

Another huge thank you to our dedicated staff, suppliers and friends. Without you, none of what we have achieved this year would be possible. 🎩💙

We want to send special wishes to all our families and friends who are entering 2026 trying to navigate through whatever challenges the New Year will bring. Please remember you are not alone. 🥰

As the festive season approaches, we know that Christmas can be a tender time for those missing loved ones. 💛

You are warmly invited to join us for our 2025 Christmas Remembrance Service — a gentle and meaningful time to reflect, remember, and celebrate the lives of our loved ones.

In Loving Memory of Sandra Barlow Nee Walton Of Stourport-on-Severn. Formerly of Silloth.

Passed away suddenly after a brief illness on Wednesday 1st October 2025, aged 71 years. Dearly loved wife to Geoff who will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

A long standing member of Stourport Hockey Club and Kidderminster Cricket Club. A very much-loved teacher throughout her career in Stourport.

Funeral Service at Wyre Forest Crematorium on Friday 24th October at 4.30pm. Family flowers only please. Donations for the British Heart Foundation may be sent to Gaunts of Stourport, 107 The Birches, Stourport-on-Severn, DY13 9NR.

Last weekend we were privileged to care for a much loved lady with a unique request. This flat bed lorry acted as a hearse and carried the lady to her funeral service in the sunshine ☀️🎩🩶

It's over, it's finished, the war has now been won,
Thank God it's finally ended; finished; over; done!
We'll no longer hear the sirens as the bombs come falling down,
No longer hear the aircraft as they fly above the town,
No longer see the searchlights lighting up the darkened sky,
Or see the burning buildings of the terraces nearby.
We can hear the people cheering as the bells peal out the news,
And we gather, dancing in the road, dispelling wartime blues.
It's victory in Europe - oh such a lovely sound,
No bombs, no incendiary fires, no more sleeping underground!
The roads are filled with happy people, celebrating victory,
The lights are on in every town, such a brilliant sight to see,

We'll not forget the sacrifices made by others in our name,
