If you are a parent of a teen you may be more than aware of the relationship you have with your child. Even the best relationships will still have limitations on what is shared due to either not wanting to be judged, upset anyone or feeling like a burden. I believe that this is a crucial age to learn self awareness skills, coping strategies and how to communicate better by challenging your self script. I love it that more and more males are entering my therapy room learning about there needs and building resilience to everyday life. Well we are well into 2026 already!
Bell has joined me in the office when I’ve been working online this week and she was a so good.
She encouraged me to get a few extra steps in which, as we all know is great for blowing away those cobwebs even when it is so dark and gloomy.
I hope you are all trying your best to beat the lows of winter by doing more of what makes you happy 😊

🚶‍♂️ Sole Mates: A new walking group for men and dads!

Redditch resident Paul is bringing men together one step at a time with Sole Mates - a monthly walking group that promotes connection, wellbeing, and conversation.

Paul is a foster carer with Worcestershire Fostering and knows first-hand how easy it is for men to feel isolated, especially when juggling caring responsibilities. He started Sole Mates to create a welcoming, relaxed space where men - whether dads, carers, single, or married - can meet, chat, and support one another.

The initiative is supported by the Public Health Community Grant programme, helping bring ideas like this to life and boost wellbeing across Worcestershire.

Join Paul at either of the below walks on the first Sunday of every month:

Sanders Park, Bromsgrove – 10am to 11am
Arrow Valley Park, Redditch – 12pm to 1pm

The group is free to join and suitable for all ages.
