Gwen Lole - Yoga & Therapy Solutions I’ve been teaching Yoga for almost 25 years. www.gwen-lole-yoga-therapy-solutions.com I first fell in love with yoga almost 30 years ago.

I hold public/private classes at my old farmhouse studio between Purse Caundle and Stourton Caundle, close to Milbourne Port and Sherborne. I soon decided that I wanted to teach Yoga and help people not just with the physical benefits of yoga but also help people mentally and emotionally. I have been teaching yoga now for almost 25 years. In my journey as a yoga teacher and holistic practitioner, I have witnessed the transformative power of yoga in people's lives. It goes beyond the physical postures and movements; it delves into the realms of mental and emotional well-being. Exploring the energy which flows within the body through yoga led me to embark on the path of Reiki in 2003. The practice of Reiki opened up new dimensions of healing and connection with the universal life force energy. In addition to my expertise in yoga and Reiki, I am also a qualified Massage Therapist and Aromatherapist, further enhancing my ability to provide holistic care to those in need. In 2018, I deepened my spiritual journey by completing a diploma in Spiritual Companioning, allowing me to offer compassionate listening and support to individuals seeking spiritual growth and understanding. My passion for helping others on their wellness journey continues to drive me forward, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a source of healing and transformation in the lives of those I have the privilege to work with.

A 6-week dynamic flowing yoga course designed to build strength, improve mobility, raise your heart rate and leave you feeling energised and more confident in your practice.

What to expect:
• Flowing sequences that challenge and strengthen
• Core work to tone and stabilise

🧘‍♀️🌹🧘‍♀️Reclining Butterfly 🦋: A Soothing Reset for the Pelvis & Nervous System

Reclining Butterfly Pose (Supta Baddha Konasana) is one of the most deeply nourishing restorative yoga poses 🤍. Lying back with the soles of the feet together and the knees gently opening offers benefits that go far beyond a simple stretch.

✨ What’s happening inside your body?

🌸 Pelvic circulation
Opening the hips eases tightness in the inner thighs and groin, improving blood flow to the pelvic organs—such as the uterus, ovaries, prostate, and bladder. This makes the pose especially helpful for easing menstrual discomfort and supporting reproductive health.

🧘‍♀️ Activating the body’s “brake” (parasympathetic system)
With the chest open and the belly relaxed, this posture stimulates the vagus nerve. Stress hormones like cortisol begin to drop, the heart rate slows, and the body shifts into a calm rest-and-digest mode 😌.

💗 Emotional release
The psoas muscle—often called the “soul muscle”—connects the spine to the legs and can hold deep emotional tension. In this gentle position, it may soften, helping release stored stress and long-held anxiety.

🍃 Digestive support
Because the abdomen stays relaxed rather than compressed, natural intestinal movement is encouraged. This can help reduce bloating and support smoother digestion.

🌿 Think of this pose as a reset button for both the pelvis and the mind.
Just 10 minutes here can feel as restorative as hours of deep rest. The hips often store tension—opening them helps release both physical and mental stress.
