Kindness is a well used word that has been about for some time now and there are slogans galore on t shirts, mugs, cards, curtains and dog coats, to name but a few, loaded with kindness messages -
In a world where you can be anything, be kind
Keep calm and be kind
Kindness is a strong message and a wonderful energy to put out into the world, but how many of us remember to be kind to ourselves?
Do you treat yourself and talk to yourself the way you would to a good friend? Or do you beat yourself up about things, not feel worthy or feel unheard?
We can always be kind, however, some believe, that if we are coming from a place of confidence and open heartedness in the first place. In other words, we have attended to our own emotional states first, then kindness can radiate stronger than we can imagine.
We all have unhelpful narratives that often play out when we are feeling under pressure, unsure, when things go wrong and when we are sad. Sometimes we are aware of them, sometimes not.
There are lots of great free resources out there that can help us with tending to ourselves, meditation apps, online yoga sessions, mindfulness sessions, which is fantastic and maybe just what you need.
However, for some of us, we may need just a little extra support to manage our emotions. Hypnotherapy and NLP techniques are hugely beneficial to helping with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, confidence and low self esteem. Getting in touch may be the kindest thing you do for yourself today.
