Having a healthy mind will enable us to feel happy, confident, productive, communicative and motivated.

Take care of yourself and take care of others.

There are many ways we can support good mental health and here are some of them:

Exercising
Meeting friends and reaching out
Walking in nature
Journalling
Playing music
Reading
Meditation
Dancing
Yoga
Listening to podcasts

And there are many many more!

A few days late to welcome October but just love the autumn colours on this picture. Reminds me of the ebb and flow of life. The impermanence of all things that come into being, including states of mind, possessions, emotions, situations, circumstances.

Sometimes it’s hard to remember the impermanence of things when we are overwhelmed with an emotional response or a challenging situation.

Today is World Gratitude Day

I am a big adovcaat for gratitude and the beneficial effects it can have on our mood and help us to see the bigger picture. Sometimes I write a little list at the end of the day of all the things I am grateful for, it helps especially if I have had a bit of a rough day. The wonderful thing about gratitude is there is no right or wrong, it's your experience of how you feel, also, it doesn't have to be massive things, it can be simply that you woke up in a comfortable bed.

Today I am grateful for:
Help to do my cleaning duties at the Buddhist Centre
Lunch bought for me
Cuddles with my kitties
A warm safe home
Children happy at school
A few silent hours post bedtime

Kindness is a well used word that has been about for some time now and there are slogans galore on t shirts, mugs, cards, curtains and dog coats, to name but a few, loaded with kindness messages -
In a world where you can be anything, be kind
Keep calm and be kind
Kindness is a strong message and a wonderful energy to put out into the world, but how many of us remember to be kind to ourselves?
Do you treat yourself and talk to yourself the way you would to a good friend? Or do you beat yourself up about things, not feel worthy or feel unheard?
We can always be kind, however, some believe, that if we are coming from a place of confidence and open heartedness in the first place. In other words, we have attended to our own emotional states first, then kindness can radiate stronger than we can imagine.
We all have unhelpful narratives that often play out when we are feeling under pressure, unsure, when things go wrong and when we are sad. Sometimes we are aware of them, sometimes not.
There are lots of great free resources out there that can help us with tending to ourselves, meditation apps, online yoga sessions, mindfulness sessions, which is fantastic and maybe just what you need.
However, for some of us, we may need just a little extra support to manage our emotions. Hypnotherapy and NLP techniques are hugely beneficial to helping with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, confidence and low self esteem. Getting in touch may be the kindest thing you do for yourself today.

Welcome all to my new page!

I am running my Hypnotherapy and NLP clinic in Stowmarket and love to meet new clients and support them in their situations. I have worked with people all my working career, I have a background in working with families in distress and I have a degree in Psychology. I am also a qualified Life Coach.
