It was 25 years ago today that Geoff and I brought the practice from Mr Brown. We would like to thank our families, past and present staff and all our patients for all your support and friendship.
Next year will be our 40th year at F G Brown and Associates. How the time flies!

As children are back at school did you realise that many children and adults suffer from visual discomfort when reading. This can affect reading fluency, concentration and comprehension and can cause rapid fatigue. We would describe these symptoms as 'Visual Stress' or 'Meares-Irlen Syndrome.'
We have known that using colour can help relieve symptoms of reading difficulty and visual stress. Colour is used (either in the form of a coloured overlay or tinted lenses) to change the appearance of print to improve reading comfort and speed.

We are having a new computer system for the practice. We will be closed on Tuesday 19th August for staff training on this new system. We will be open as normal on Wednesday 20th at 9.00.

Regular eye tests are important because -
