Was a pleasure to help on the Stowmarket Culture Group stall today for the stage 2 of The Tour of Britain, in Stowmarket!

Find the stall in the Regal Cinema Car Park and say hi, pick up a leaflet from some of the organisations involved, sign up to the monthly newsletter or pick up a cycling colouring in sheet by the Stowmarket Library and hand in to enter their competition!

We are looking for dedicated green-fingered volunteers with a passion for gardening to join the Red Gables Garden Project in Stowmarket! 🌱

Join the team and help maintain the gardens, learn teamwork and boost your wellbeing in our serene escape, tucked away from the high street!

Thursdays, from 11am-3pm. Volunteers must be over 18.

Who remembers The Old Library?

Now known as our Redwoods building which offers 2 spacious rooms, toilet facilities and a fully-equipped kitchen which is home to numerous community groups, charities and organisations who gather here.

The development work was then carried out and reopened in 2012.

For £6.50 members can enjoy a 2-course cooked homemade lunch and an array of entertainment including guest speakers, bingo and a raffle from 11am-1pm.

Today for our Cooking on a Budget course finale we were joined by the wonderful Elle and Caroline from Warm Homes Healthy People (Suffolk centres for warmth) who demonstrated some delicious and simple slow cooker meals to make. The pizza pasta went down a storm, followed by some exciting experimental sponge cakes using just a box of cake mix and a can of fizzy drink!

Did you know a slow cooker costs just 3p to 8p per HOUR to run?

This makes it one of the most energy-efficient kitchen appliances, costing significantly less to run than an electric oven (between 54p-£1.35 per hour) or even an air fryer which can cost between 22p-76p per hour! Thankyou to all of our course members for coming along, always a pleasure to have Elle and Caroline join us 🧡 East Suffolk Council

Today we are closed for the bank holiday so our hard working team and volunteers can have a break. Please note both the Redwoods Lunch Club and Better Balance groups will not be running today.

We will however be back open as normal from 9am tomorrow! Enjoy your bank holiday Monday ☀️

🌸 New Yin Yoga Classes in Stowmarket this September! 🌸
