This afternoon we had the wonderful Park Nursery children in to sing and make pictures with our residents.
Our residents absolutely loved it – the smiles were nonstop and the laughter filled the room. 💛

The benefits of visits like this include:
• ⭐ Boosted mood and wellbeing – singing and chatting with little ones brings so much joy.
• 🎨 Creativity and stimulation – making pictures together helps keep minds active.

This morning we had the loveliest time at The Bay House!
A huge thank you to Listening Ear for inviting us along to the Festive Friendly Cup. Our residents absolutely loved every minute — from the delicious festive treats to the Christmas cocktails that went down a treat!

Today we had the wonderful Julie in to sing for our residents — and honestly, the place was bouncing!
There was singing, dancing, toe tapping, chair-dancing, and even a few “I’ll-just-wave-my-arms-because-I’m-not-getting-up” moves. The laughter was nonstop, and the smiles were big enough to light up Belmont without paying the electric bill!

And as if her voice wasn’t sweet enough, Julie only went and brought yummy cakes for everyone to enjoy with their cuppa. Our residents were living their best lives — a sing-song, a sponge cake, and a whole lot of love in the room.

The benefits of days like this:
• Hearts lifted and spirits boosted
• Memories made and shared
• Movement, dancing and tapping along (even from those who swear they “don’t dance!”)
• Friendship, connection and pure joy
• And most importantly… the reminder that laughter and music are two of the best medicines we have

Part 2 of our lovely photos with Rommel the Shetland pony — and this time we’ve added a very special video of him giving the cutest high five! 🐴✨

Our residents were absolutely delighted watching his little hoof pop up for a high five — it brought so many smiles, laughs, and “awwws” all around the room. Moments like these remind us how magical animal therapy truly is. 💛

Thank you so much, Tiggy, for bringing Rommel the Shetland pony in for animal therapy today.
From the moment he stepped through our doors, something truly special filled the room. Our residents’ faces softened, eyes lit up, and for a little while, worries and aches were replaced with pure comfort and joy.

Rommel has a beautiful way of bringing calm, connection, and warmth to everyone around him. His gentle presence encouraged memories, sparked conversations, and created moments of closeness that mean more than words can ever express. These visits don’t just brighten a day — they touch hearts in a way that lasts long after the moment has passed.

We are so grateful to you, Tiggy, for sharing Rommel with us and giving our residents an experience filled with love, peace, and tenderness.

Today we enjoyed a lovely girls’ day out with shopping and a lunch date in town. As you can see, Mary had an amazing time and treated herself to lots of lovely bits and pieces. Outings like this really brighten our residents’ days, boost confidence, and help them stay connected with the community. A wonderful day all round!
