WWAC is delighted to invite you to our next Drop-in on Thursday 7th May – and this one is a special one for us as we celebrate our one-year anniversary 🎉

It’s been such an amazing year, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has come along, supported us, and helped make the Drop-in what it is.

To celebrate, we’ll be having a lovely afternoon tea at our usual time and place:

📍 The Smiddy, Wigtown
🕝 2.30pm – 4pm

Everyone is very welcome – whether you’ve been before or would just like to come along and see what it’s all about. We’d love to see you there 💛

We would like to say a huge thank you to Sorbie SWI for organising such a lovely fundraiser on 17th March. It was a fantastic evening, and we are so grateful to everyone who came along, supported the event, and helped raise awareness of the work WWAC does.

We’re absolutely delighted to share that an incredible £400 was raised – a wonderful amount that will go towards supporting local people through some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Thank you again to everyone involved – your support makes a real difference 💜

Hello, I’m Teddy Blue 🐾💙 and I’ve got a wee story to tell…

I’m getting all dressed up for the Kiltwalk Mighty Stride, because my amazing humans (and 50 incredible walkers!) are taking on Glasgow to raise funds for Wigtownshire Wellbeing & Cancer (WWAC).

They call themselves Team Smiles for Miles — and that’s exactly what they do. Every step they take is for people in our community affected by cancer, helping bring care, comfort and a little bit of happiness when it’s needed most 💙

And here’s some paw-some news…
WWAC is now part of Gift Aid! 🎉
That means every £1 you donate turns into £1.25 — at no extra cost to you!

So if you can spare a few pounds, or even just share our page, you’ll be helping more people than you know.

Thank you for supporting us — and cheering us on every step of the way 🐾💙

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Stranraer Parish Church for their incredibly generous support.

Donations received from the Church’s Christmas services and events were shared between four local charities:

✨ Dumfries & Galloway Blood Bikes

✨ Wigtownshire Wellbeing and Cancer

✨ Stranraer Brass

✨ South west signers

We are so grateful to be included and to receive such meaningful support from our local community.

Photograph shows Treasurer Allison Barrowman handing over the cheque to our Administrator Gordon Frew.
