We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Wigtownshire Wellbeing and Cancer has been awarded Β£2,000 from the Dumfries and Galloway Council Regional Cultural Fund 2025/2026 for our brand-new project

πŸ–ŠοΈ Creative Writing for Health πŸ–ŠοΈ
Writing is a wonderful form of self-care. It gives us space to release emotions, make sense of our thoughts, and boost our wellbeing β€” all while having fun and connecting with others. πŸ’›
πŸ“š What to expect:
✨ 8-week course β€” every Tuesday from 6:30–7:30pm, starting Tuesday 6th January
✨ Held at Wigtownshire Wellbeing and Cancer, 9 Hanover Street, Stranraer
✨ Open to everyone β€” no writing experience needed!
✨ Everything provided β€” just bring your imagination!
We’re delighted that the course will be led by Joanna Findlay, who holds a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, USA. ✍️

Whether you’d love to start a story, memoir, or simply journal your thoughts β€” this is the perfect place to begin.
