🌱 Love gardening? Make sure your body does too.
While gardening is great for your mind and your outdoor space, it can put a surprising amount of strain on your back, knees, and shoulders. Simple things like lifting heavy pots, weeding for long periods, or using awkward tools can easily lead to aches, pains, or even injury.

But the good news? Most gardening injuries are completely preventable with the right techniques and habits. From warming up before you start to using better body positions and taking regular breaks, small changes can make a huge difference to how you feel.

Want expert‑approved tips from our physiotherapists to help you stay active and injury‑free in the garden? Book your appointment now!

Myth busting Mondays!

Let's tackle one of the biggest myths - "No pain no gain." this is NOT a good rule of training or rehab. Yes, getting stronger means feeling effort, fatigue and a bit of muscle burn but shooting, sharp, or lingering pain isn't a sign of progress.

It's a sign to adjust the plan.

Your body doesn't need to be punished to improve, if your workout or rehab plan is consistently painful, it's a red flag. 🚩 Good recovery and movements that challenge you are what gets you stronger.

This week is all about raising awareness, starting conversations, and taking action to support mental health — for ourselves, each other, and for all of us.

On Wednesday 13th May, our team will be proudly taking part in Day 💚
We’ll be wearing green to show our support for good mental health, reduce stigma, and stand with everyone affected by mental health challenges.

Small actions can make a big difference, whether that’s checking in on a colleague, taking a moment to pause, or simply joining in by wearing green.
Check out Mental Health Matters for more ways you can get involved!

Marathon season doesn’t just test your endurance, it pushes your body to its limits. We regularly see runners struggling with:
❌ Achilles pain
❌ Runner’s knee
❌ Shin splints
❌ Hip or glute pain
❌ Calf and hamstring strains
The tricky part? Many marathon injuries don’t show up during the race, they appear in the days or weeks after, when fatigue, muscle overload, and poor recovery start to catch up.

We've put together the top injuries we see in our clinics and the best ways to prevent them. Your next run should feel strong — not painful. Let’s keep you running. Book your appointment today!

This , remember: taking care of your body is an important part of taking care of your mental wellbeing.

Stress doesn’t just impact your mind - it shows up in your body too. Headaches, muscle tightness, stiff shoulders… these are all common physical signs of stress.

Physiotherapy can help by easing muscle tension, improving posture and breathing, and restoring healthy, comfortable movement.
