A weekend of learning, refreshing and reconnecting.
As part of my Continuing Professional Development (CPD), I make time each year to continue learning. This time, rather than adding something new, I chose to revisit and refresh my knowledge.
I’ve just spent two lovely days in Whitchurch, Herefordshire, training with Sally Kay, alongside a group of fellow reflexologists, revisiting RLD (Reflexology Lymph Drainage), a technique I first trained in back in 2021.
RLD is a specialised reflexology treatment that focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes in the feet to support the body’s lymphatic system. It was developed through research within cancer care and is an award-winning approach.
It can be particularly supportive for those living with lymphoedema, including after breast cancer treatment, as well as helping with:
• swelling and fluid retention
• sinus issues
• headaches and migraines
• chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia
• muscular aches and tension
Taking time to refresh this training felt incredibly valuable.
If you know someone living with lymphoedema, please feel free to share this post — awareness of supportive therapies can make a real difference.
