Another completed modular ramp installation for a commercial property 👌

This project at Alcester Community Shed required safe, reliable access for everyday use. We installed a bespoke aluminium modular ramp system with non-slip fibreglass grating and high-visibility yellow handrails throughout.

As with all our installations, the ramp was designed to suit the building and ensure a smooth, compliant gradient from ground level to the entrance.

What’s the best wheelchair ramp for a house? 🤔

It’s a question we get asked a lot—and the honest answer is, it depends on the property and how the ramp will be used.

For small steps or door thresholds, a portable ramp is often the simplest option. They’re lightweight, easy to move, and ideal for occasional use.

For larger height differences, a modular ramp is usually the better solution. These provide a solid, fully supported structure with handrails and non-slip surfaces, making them suitable for everyday access.

Timber ramps can also be a good choice, particularly in garden or patio areas where a more traditional look is preferred.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, which is why a site survey makes all the difference in finding the safest and most practical option 👍
