Blood Flow Restriction Training
This is a great tool that has been well researched in helping to build strength and reduce pain in those patients who might be load compromised. Such as those returning from injury, after surgery where restrictions are in place and other situations where high load or weight bearing exercise might be restricted or too painful to progress effectively with rehab.
It simulates the body’s natural pain relieving system and increases muscle fibre recruitment. This helps to build and grow muscle strength while not having to lift heavy weights.

She is currently working towards a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice but has also had experience in sport settings such as Warwick School rugby pitchside and post-event recovery at the Kenilworth half marathon.

Acupuncture can have many uses and in recent years there has been an increase in high quality research supporting the use of acupuncture for various conditions. We have physiotherapists trained to use acupuncture so if you would like to find out more please get in touch.

Today marks the start of Acupuncture Awareness week!

An ever increasing number of clinicians and their patients are seeking to incorporate into their treatments to aid in pain and recovery management. Marked improvements are often experienced within only a few treatments coupled with minimal to no side effects.

Acupuncture is now recommended within the NICE guidelines as a recommended treatment for chronic pain as a non-pharmacological intervention.

The AACP have successfully trained over 18,000 clinicians to incorporate acupuncture into their clinical practice to treat MSK related conditions/injuries. AACP members are also recognised by all major insurance companies, enabling them to include acupuncture as part of their treatment plan.

A proportion of our members are also traditionally trained acupuncturists who can treat a wider range of conditions.

Our Story

Hello, my name is Andrew and I am very proud of the experienced and friendly team of physiotherapists that work alongside me at Tudor.

We are all passionate about our profession and will always do our very best. This means getting to know you and the activities that you enjoy. From there we focus, in detail, on your medical history and fully assess your current problems. We pride ourselves on our friendliness, listening skills and ability to build a rapport. We will discuss our findings with you and together design a bespoke treatment plan which will be targeted at your specific needs whether it is getting back to normal day to day activities, a more active lifestyle or to high level sport.

Central to our ethos is providing education and helping you understand your condition and ultimately taking responsibility for your recovery. I will often use an anatomical model of a body part which helps me to demonstrate how things work and gives an insight into what may be causing your pain or compromising your movement.

Everyone is welcome at Tudor, from elite and recreational athletes to non sports people, children and the elderly. Over the years we have established links with a network of orthopaedic consultants, GP’s, sports clubs and schools. We offer a concessionary rate to all students and provide a very popular weekly “Free Kids Physio” assessment clinic.
